For me this is the best R1 Model of all time.

Althought some people say that 2005 witout the Fly by wire and ycct tech was better, is a matter of tastes, but from 2004 to 2008 was the best season for YZF-R1

brand new bikes have a break in period where its recomended you shouldnt go over certian rpms for the first couple hundred miles thats probably why he did not rev it high, the sticker where it says all this information is on the tank right underneath the gas gauge its brand new

man u no nthn abt engines,u get a blown engine wen u rev abov the redline 4 a long time,or if u run out of lubricatin oil then u will suddenly stop as if u brake and the u will need to remould the whole cylinder block.these r the most comon engien blow ups,damn u no nthn man..no offence

if you rev too hard in the begining, the grooves and bumps in the engine that needs to be worn in will get chipped off, this could mean leaking inlets/outlets or weaknesses in the engine...in the future the problems will come back and haunt you... you a mechanic or what mr know-all?
