I still remember the day that Keith Whitley died. I was a Sophomore in High School. I was in my room doing my homework. It came over the radio that he was found dead in his home and I started to cry. I LOVED Keith Whitley. He will always be one of the great country legends that died way before his time.
You were the best, Keith! No one had a voice to compare with yours and no one could hit those licks like you did with such smoothness and so little effort. You will never be forgotten and yes, we do still think of you. Thanks for all the great music, my brother!
Keith Whitley, ultimately the best voice in country music. I love all country music, but noone, had a voice like that, the only voice that can compare even remotely with keith was Elvis, the notes are so true.
