Nice seeing another 26 year old girl using the Amiga! Well... I'm 27 now actually, but close enough. I'm hoping to get an A1200 set-up again. My last one was sold in 2005.
@kristinwhite84 I took mine apart for a project and was very guttid a year afer I done it, I have a A600 now and getting a A500 with a shed load of stuff for £20.00 today, canewait!
Who is implying anyone would use S-Video if their TV had RGB-Scart? In Australia and America it's far more common to find TVs with S-Video than Scart inputs.
Hello Cammy. Can you please tell me when this nice kit will be available again? There is a message in amigamaniac site that says in two weeks, but since when? Thank you for your time!
Hey, I'm just as old as the Amiga is, we both came out in 1985, I don't have children of my own, and my parents were never Amiga users either. I don't know whose children you're referring to, but there are none in my videos.
I'm using Amiga OS 3.1 because 3.9 is too slow without RTG, and I still use AGA. The task bar at the bottom is called Workbench2000, and it's available to download on Aminet. It adds all the functionality you'd expect from as task bar and start menu, but it's very configurable and uses MUI.
What happens when they stop making S-video connectors for screens? :-| Not only will I not be able to hook up my Amiga or Commodore 64, but my Atari, Super Nintendo, and N64 will also be kaput
S-video isn't the best solution for a high-definition computer. Because the S-video is based upon analog NTSC the luma (black and white) resolution is limited to only 7 megahertz or approximately 720x480
.
The chroma (color) resolution is even worse - about 120x480. So that means blurring of the Amiga's pixels.
It's a lot quicker than I expected it to be on a 50Mhz 030. To be honest I was expecting it to crawl. I can imagine that surfing on an 060 with a graphics card is very smooth,
The LCD TV is a 19" MXT LCD1904HDD and it has a built-in DVD player, HD tuner, VGA, HDMI, S-Video, Component, Composite, RF, Coax, PC-audio inputs, so it will hook up to just about anything.
My A1200 has a 68030 accelerator running at 50Mhz with 32MB RAM.

ah, i knew the u.s didn't really use scart but i thought australia used scart more or less as much as europe.

@ThreeDLee09
You can get them from the AmigaManiac website that I visit in this video but you need a LCD TV that has S-Video input.
