Because of the active camo. only member in the cobra unit that had active camo. The only other person that uses Active camo anywhere else would be some genome soldiers in the first MGS or Grey Fox . I'm 100% positive Grey fox wasn't in the COBRA UNIT OR LIQUID SNAKE'S FOXHOUND.

Big Boss wasn't adopted by The Boss, she just became his mentor. The Sorrow never even married The Boss either, he died before they could, although they did have a child together.

In a way, yes, because Solid Snake is Big Boss's cloned son, and Big Boss was adopted (in a way) by The Boss, who's husband (in a sense) was The Sorrow. Also, since Ocelot is The Boss's true son, that would mean that Ocelot is Solid Snake's uncle.
