i did bi-xenon conversion on my -83 Mercedes w123 240D and now my reverse lights dont come on. if it isnt a cheap fix like a fuse or something could it be cause of the conversion?
thank you for posting this video Scott! This is Joe from Omni X Auto Sports... It's been quite some time now since you purchased this hid kit. Give me a call anytime if you need anything - i'll be sure to take care of you.
Truly inspirational video sir. I have done a headlight retrofit to my evo vi with depo dual projector headlights and two xenon kits on both low and high beam, it was definitly not an easy job. Also like you've mentioned, warm up time with high beams is still a problem. For practical reason I choose 4300k and not 6000k as most folks believe 4300 to have the best light output, though they look pretty much the same as your ones.
Warm up is typical for HID..So, not real quick. Not the most ideal set-up for someone that wants to "flash" their high beams more than leave them on for longer periods of time.
@luisgjb but he has stock bixenon, which is xenon for both low and high beam... also he replaced halogen bulb that co-worked with bixenon's high beam with some hid kit. thats 2 xenon kits :)
The result is of course great, and in reallity usefull.
But never forget, cameras often detect more light than human eyes can. They can make a larger spectre of light visible.
Example for you at home:
Use the infrared key of your car or something like that and hold it in front of you mobilephone camera. U may see the light on your screen as smooth violet or blue light^^
I have a suction cup camera mount I bought a few years ago. It's the same one I used to film the chopper videos I made. It's a professionally made mount with vibration dampeners built in.
I've also used it on the outside of my car to film me at driving events (auto-xing)
How do you like your Saab? Is it the GM platform version?...I'm curious to see how the new twin turbo V-6 drives and if it can modified with an ECU upgrade...The new ones look pretty sweet, just afraid of it not being a true saab now that GM is involved..
It's just a name I made up....The car comes with Bi-Xenons which is incorporated to the low beams. I took out the halogen bulbs in the high beams and added a xenon HID conversion kit.
The video does it no justice! The difference is very noticeable over the stock set-up. It's actually pretty crazy how bright it is with the bi-xenons and new xenon high beams

tghtaclegend 10 months ago
@tghtaclegend
No. No errors. I know that this happenes, but not with my car. I think you'll typically see that with LED bulbs in our cars.

Fogs also have HID. All bulbs 6000k. Now, in this video I think the fogs may have been halogen, but later I went to HID converion on all light.
scottisha69 1 year ago
do your fog lights have hid's on them? or are they the stock bulbs?

totallyb 3 years ago
if you don't have factory xenons in your low beams, then you should have H7's for low and H1's for high beams.
