9 months to pay for themselves. What kind of education do people get these days? I investigated getting into wind power for my business. After talking with people who install them and sell them I learned a lot. The majority used the term "windpower is a joke". They said the cost, compounded by the breakdowns and service mean that in their 20 year lifespan you break about even. Then, you have to invest in a new unit. In another 10 years the tower itself needs to be replaced. another cost.
This is a great set of clips. These people have put a lot of hard work and research into saving their homes and families. Wind generators are NOT a good thing. I don't care how many profanities you can spit out. Yes, I'd rather have an oil well in my yard. If the Gov would get out of it, we'd have plenty of oil at reasonable prices. Regulations, insurance & lawyers are killing us. If you're worried about environment & energy shortage get off the computer and grow a garden!
yes, incredibly clean nuclear energy. Modern advancements have made nuclear energy the clear choice for not only cost effective energy, but using up less resources and land space. Wind towers use up a lot of capital, often taking 15 years of running to just pay for the tower alone. Imagine investing your money on the pretense that you MIGHT break even in 15 years from your original expenditure.
i dont know where you found your information, but it is wrong. wind towers take roughly 9 months to completely pay for themselves whereas coal and nuclear plants take anywhere from 10-20 years. maybe you just got them mixed up.

Would she prefer a coal powerplant in her neighborhood? Are there any better alternatives than windenergy?
