these are just street pulls...the real test is for trucks equipped w/ the same programmers, same tires, on the same terrain, same class (250/2500 etc), same size (reg cab or crew, etc). when all factors that could influence the test are controlled, then it's a real test. this didn't appear to be a controlled test. nice try. ford or dodge fan, doesn't matter. let the pro's handle this battle.

Its funny how most (not all) people that have a negative opinion about a vehicle have never owned that make or happened to have one that was poor in shape or they couldn't care for correctly. Both Dodge and Ford are good companies that have built good trucks. I personally like both of their diesel trucks and have owned both. But granted to each their own.

And yes I do own a Dodge, a 95 v10 3/4ton Ram with 268k miles and still in badass mechanical shape. Any car can go 300+k if someone actually cares correctly for it. By the way I also own a toyota and I like it too.
@keith91z28 My 96 V10 2500 4x4 has 254k miles and still in amazing shape. It tows around 30k all the time and the heaviest it has gone over the scales was 34k. Only problem we have had is the 5th gear went out but was cheaply replaced.
Besides that my 95 Dakota 4x4 has 235k miles and has towed 11k many times including one trip from Kansas to Oklahoma and back, only problem it has ever had was a blown radiator at 160k.
ExGF's 2009 F250 V10 with 20k miles broke the very first day she used it...
@Spywell Hells yea, Dodges are tough ass trucks, my 95 v10 and 96 dakota have gone through hell but a friend had an 2010 ram that blew a rod within the first month owning it and he never ragged it but like I said any car can go long with maintanence. But some vehicles have their quirks but in the long run I would choose Dodge over Ford but that is just my personal opinion.

Well it was a 24v Cummins. A more fair fight would be a 12v and the 7.3, and a 24v and the 6.0 (which was more powerfull than the 7.3 due to the large turbo).
