yeah it would have been nice to see cooke and mack when they grow up, but overall, the ending was amazing, and like iv read in the comments, it shows us what live should evolve around, love, peace, friendship and responsibility, iv had this game for nearly 4 years now, can't get myself to sell it :L :')
@declinefan I would like to see them make a sequel to this game but I don't know how they would since they stopped gongora. Unless the sequel just had the same name and took place in the same fictional univers but had different characters and story all together, kind of like Final Fantasy.

Ending reflected nothing like that. Like they (Kaim and Sarah) don't even care that their grand kids are going to die soon while they are still living an eternal, endless life.
I think that the other comment that could be made is that you should live each moment for all that it is worth. If you do that then i truly think that immortality couldn't be but so bad. I think that is what they all learned at the end.

The sacrifice of Seth is a beautiful message of love for their friends: "Enjoy the eternity here, I won't be able to do it". It reminds me of the ending of Titanic (the message of the happiness of living which Jack gives to Rose).
I really wish they showed what the kids at least looked like when they grow up, although I'm almost positive Mack will look like Kaim when he's grown (Cept' a little lighter skinned). He's even growing long hair and his the same facial features (Cept the mouth, but that changes over time...). Anyone agree?

I was very pleasantly surprised when all the characters changed clothes in the ending to fit the scenes, alot of rpg's just leave the characters in their clothes that they've been wearing for the whole game. 8)

This game was a let down. The characters lacked emotion/ boring, the storyline was linear, gameplay was tedious, and the loading screens were a joke.
But above all, what I hated the most was those fucking kids. They were annoying from the moment you meet them. Why did they put whining, hyper, little kids (with the voices of the Rugrats) into this game?
They other characters were okay, if a little boring, but the kids just washed away any promise the game had, and replaced it with annoyance.
The ending of this game was pretty good, though kind of dissapointing from a 4 disc build up. my favorite video game ending of all time is still The Legend of Zelda:The Orcarina of Time for the nintendo 64.
i liked the game it was a solid 8.0/10 for me. I especially enjoyed the short stories though when "Kaim has recalled a memory locked deep within his heart". I found the gameplay kind of boring though so after midway through disc 3 i came here to see the ending. Like what "WhenTheLegendsDie" said though the main antogonist is quite boring. This game was ok, although I had a few problems with it. First, I had too high expectations (ff1-10). I shouldn't have expected a story with a twist. Also, no summons which is something I really wanted. Another fault IMO was the final boss wasn't a badass. You knew exactly from the beginning who it was, and his lack of character really contributed to my lack of interest. Overall it was fun but not enough...
Man most of the game comming out are pratically Final Fantasy sorta. The grind, the characters, the travelling, the story. Well sorta alike in story wise, but everything else is practically a rip off of FF. Not that I don't like these games, but thats just how it is with me. (Lost Odyessy, Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery)
Well this game WAS made by the guy who lead the creation of the first 5 final fantasies so it's not a surprise it's a lot like final fantasy. Honestly the only final fantasies i liked as much as this would be 6, 7 and 8 and even then i probably wouldnt be able to decide which of the four i like the most.
Honestly, I can respect an opinion. I lved this game. The storyline isn't for everyone, but the best part of this game for me was Kaim's memories of 1000 years. Increadible and kept me playing just to read them.

The ending was shit... they should have shown kaim a 100 years later, desperately trying to kill him self because everyone non immortal is dead and the other immortals except kaim were banished by gongora cause he came back in reason of his fuel tanks. I really liked the ending for LO. In a way, it seems like a genuine conclusion, so if I imagine if a sequel ever did come about it likely would be different characters, at least in the principal roles. It hit me hard that Seth had to disappear, she was my favourite Immortal. The thing about Jansen & Ming is quite sad as well, we don't suppose Ming can give up her immortality?
Seeing that the same thing would likely happen to Sarah and Kaim eventually. Cooke and Macke would eventually grow "older" than their grandparents and die which is sad too when you think about it. I ended up beating the game with my party (Kaim, Sed, Seth, Sarah and Ming) all at lvl99. With some useful accessories and skills as well, made the final fight with Gongora a bit of a walk in the park really...
I feel sorry for Sed he finally found his mother after about 50 years and he only knew for a short time then she went away but pretty cool ending I nearly cried at part 1 of this video:P
I'm happy yet kinda sorry for Ming and Jansen. Hes married with the love of his life which is good but... lets not forget that shes an immortal or at least has a much longer life span than the ordinary human in this case Jansen. As he ages she'll keep her age. Its sad because all Ming can do is just watch as time consumes Jansen.

Storyline? A princess gets kidnapped, go through some dungeons and eventually save her. Its the most cliche' storyline in the world.

am i the only one who thought the ending could of involved kaim a little bit more. i mean he was the main character and they didnt really connect with him in depth u know wat i mean. it felt like he was jus kinda there which is completely different from any ff game

The ending was shit... they should have shown kaim a 100 years later, desperately trying to kill him self because everyone non immortal is dead and the other immortals except kaim were banished by gongora cause he came back in reason of his fuel tanks. And Gongora will rule the world with hes "creepy"(crappy) snake transformation :D happy face

seriously, they could have made the end a little darker. just look at FFX, were tidus realizes that if he defeats his father (the final boss), he will dissapear from the world. that was really cool.

not a bad ending, but no mystery at all, I mean I kinda felt bad for seth, but I feel more for sed...i mean he just found his mom...
I really agree with the one who says Ming and Jansen are not gonna be happy coz the Dude is aging and she isn't...

I really liked the ending for LO. In a way, it seems like a genuine conclusion, so if I imagine if a sequel ever did come about it likely would be different characters, at least in the principal roles. It hit me hard that Seth had to disappear, she was my favourite Immortal. The thing about Jansen & Ming is quite sad as well, we don't suppose Ming can give up her immortality?

Seeing that the same thing would likely happen to Sarah and Kaim eventually. Cooke and Macke would eventually grow "older" than their grandparents and die which is sad too when you think about it. I ended up beating the game with my party (Kaim, Sed, Seth, Sarah and Ming) all at lvl99. With some useful accessories and skills as well, made the final fight with Gongora a bit of a walk in the park really...

I'm happy yet kinda sorry for Ming and Jansen. Hes married with the love of his life which is good but... lets not forget that shes an immortal or at least has a much longer life span than the ordinary human in this case Jansen. As he ages she'll keep her age. Its sad because all Ming can do is just watch as time consumes Jansen.
