  • is the AUG's magazine interchangeable with an ar-15

  • STEYR AUG TRY TO GET OF HOLD OF THAT MARTIANS

  • da austrians have a time machine

  • My all time favorite gun. And the m16. But I like this one more.

  • @ionlycomment1231 All time favorite rifle*

  • he saud that this rifle was a .223 caliber but it's actually a 5.56x45 caliber (I know they are identical)

  • Nothing better than a Famas !

  • it is no matter what biased person says 1 of the best standard military weapons in use but the M4 may just beat it if it didnt the SASR wouldnt use the M4 over the AUG but this weapon demands respect thanks Austria for designing this amazing weapon : )

  • @IIZODIIAC Hey mate, the Aussie SASR and 2nd Commando Regiment Special Forces don't use the AUG/F88 like the rest of the Royal Australian Infantry Corps/ Army because the AUG does not handle marine/ amphibious operations as well as the M4 family. Apart from that the new A2 variant of the AUG/ F88 is as good a rifle as you'll get anywhere. The visible difference between the old AUG and the F88A2 now issued to the Aussies is the barrel & scope assemblies are painted khaki like the stock.

  • @wattlebough oh ok thanks for the info

  • it looks beautiful with the 15inch barrel

  • Why does it keep jammin

  • @Jerzeydumpman its because of not keeping it clean from carbon residue or faulty Ammo which is unlikely but possible and does happen

  • @Jerzeydumpman maybe because he didn't clean it. this guns is a bitch when dirty

  • dam this is a really smart rifle i mean they thought of everything.

  • what happens when u take off the lip on the other side of the ejection port?

  • @CerealIsDaBomb nothing it just gets dirt in lol you have to change the internal workings to eject out of the other port

  • I hate using this rifle, it's a little heavy and feels unnatural to hold IMO

  • The only bad thing about this gun I'd say is it is a little bit on the hefty side. It's not a super heavy rifle, but there ARE lighter guns.

Other than that I love my AUG A1 :D A3 with triple front rails? mmm

  • why does it keep jamming? wtf

  • I can't believe people have ignored this rifle since 1977, especially in the US

  • You're an idiot, and if you refer to the m16 series, then you're legally retarded.

  • I used the AUG as a conscript and had opportunity to shoot the M16. This weapon doesn't need grime sand or any enviremental hazard to stop it, the design itself if flawed. Light weight it is, (2.5 kg) and accurate it also is. But a reliable it is not, more of a sporting rifle.

Having said that, hardware is still second to software, but I don't plan on getting my head blown off because my rifle went "click". I take the AUG or Kalashnikov anyday, no contest.

And yes you are white trash

  • wow im white trash. now im scared

  • do you mean the m16 or aug when you say the design is flawed

  • Naturally the M16

  • Hey kid, The aug is the best... ok? I am going to buy the parts for one and assemble it myself, The best thing about the AUG... Is the fact that it has a 30 or 42 round clip( i belive this vid says 32? wtf?) and in 16 secounds you can have it changed from Commando to MG.... MG to long, Long, back to commando... what is bad about that?

And your m16 fails too often, called this don't fail often... especially if you CLEAN the gun

  • @sharpwheels i dont think theres a "best gun of them all" i think it depends on what the shooter likes and is whats best suited for him, and in this video we see the AUG jamming over and over, but that could be that guys rifle idk about anyone elses

  • @sharpwheels buy parts for it and assemble one yourself? so you're gonna build one from pre-ban Steyr AUG parts or parts from MSAR STG 556?

  • @SimpleStuff31 Any other white trash fucknut could figure that one out. People who say the m16 is their favorite rifle usually are very poorly cultured and knowleged with other ones imo

  • don't comment unless you've shot both, keep to your white-trash sport :)

  • Lol the M16s usually jam like a motherfucker, or atleast teh earlier versions of it, i hear the modern day ones are rather good.

And weight on the back goes on your shoulder, which support almost twice your own body weight, so technically the gun is far lighter then you think, if i doesnt fell it.

  • the aug a3 sf is my alltime favorite weapon!

  • sueburbia - Thanks Sue, I was just trying to get you in an environment where the guys are not criminals. This way the FBI & ATF can help you screen out the bad guys. If they own a NFA registered machinegun, they are so clean they squeak!

  • MarcusFenix50- Still have the Uzi buckle given me by a IMI rep when I was a NFA dealer for their SA Uzis.

haibaile1980-I fired several with left hand bolts and they do not eject shells in your face, they eject to the left side.

  • McLovinMcNugget- this was filmed in 1985 on the Sionics facility in Powder Springs GA, I have no idea where they found a working copy of this video.

  • This man got me into shooting! You rock my dearest friend :-)

  • i'd rather have an SA80

  • You are an idiot

  • I have more sanity than you obviously

  • english fag go get gangbanged

  • Learn how to speak english and go bumrape your inbred mother, whats your problem?

  • Go scanter back to your emirate, you'll be safe as long as the Scots and the US protect you.

An englishman is a pathetic piece dead meat.

  • I'm not even a Ukrainan lmao, I'm a exchange student.

I know plenty about the england, (not the rest of uk) when ever I visit I can't wait to leave.

Now get off this forum, english punk ass whores have no business being talking about firearms

  • im in the British army you stupid ingnorant dick LMAO you cant even spell, and you still did'nt tell me what the fuck is wrong with you?

  • english guy in the british army? My comments stand. lol

you heading to Afghanistan? I'll look for your beheading video online xD

  • do it mate

  • then why the hell have you put that you are Ukrainian, where the hell are you from?

  • AUG are one of my favorite gun but i like the m4a1 the best

  • you cant shoot it with the left hand . The hot bullets fly in your face

  • well observed

  • ahh yes you can. you can chande the side that the shells eject

  • The ejection port can be switched to the other side for lefties. You just need to change the bolt for one with an extractor claw on the opposite side.

  • did you notice his uzi beltbuckle?

  • how old is this?

  • 1:39

  • i like the aim of the SCOPE ;D

  • Wowow... 32 shot magazine?

  • the futere was there 30 years ago

  • KAR98 FTW

  • lol it was jaming

  • you have know idea what your talking about.1. the magazine only takes 30 bullets and you can get them to hold 42. their is also no room in the stock too hold a cleaning kit that is the proper one.you fool!!

  • I think it's funny when people argue on the internet about things they've never even come in contact with. What makes it especially funny is when they call someone else a fool but spell like a monkey. Also, lol about the guy in the video keeping his finger on the trigger the whole time.

  • I think its funny how people comment on common mistakes with fire arms(no ear plugs, eye protection etc.).LET THEM LEARN THE HARD WAY!!!!!!

  • AUG a revolutionairy weapon u can modify so shell casings eject to left for lefties and right for righties also plastic mag is cool

  • from what i heard the AUG is the best bullpup design out there at the moment. I like the way it looks and feels, can't wait to get my own.

  • Comment removed

  • it looks like it jams a lot .......

  • which aug the NZ Military use?

I did service time in the austrian army and was in the armory for a few months.

cleaned and did function tests for a few thousand AUG A1's and P80's (Glock 17) and was really surprised how reliable this weapon is especially under extrem harsh conditions.

  • @mgBabylonRocker how long to clean an AUG???

  • i like this gun

  • 0.45, love the finger-on-trigger, obviously this nugget hasnt done a single rifle course...

That and they call it the 'aahrg' it's A-U-G, it's an acronym, not a word.

Just realised, to TP, he notes its ''32 rounds" when in fact it's designed for 30 rounds, though most infantry load 28 in it. No wonder it's jamming!

Edit, the first jam was caused because he didnt 'flick' the cocking handle down from the hold open recess, it has to fly ALL the way forward to close properly.

  • He cleard alot of jams while I listed to the narrotor. Is it just me or did it seem like this weapon was prone to misfeeds?

  • No, it is not, in fact misfeeds are only a cause of bad magazine/ammunition in the AUG, ie: people 'slap loading' the magazine by hitting the bottom.

  • I'm about to join the Australian Defence Force. Our army is closely allied to the US army (too close for many) so obtaining the US types would have been the easiest option. From all I've heard about the trials that took place the Styer proved massively more reliable and superior in almost every way to the US and other types that were trialled. The AUGs used in Australia are manufactured there, and correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't Australia now obtained exclusive rights to build the design?

  • The patents expired a few years ago. I think 2006. There's already two american manufacturers who've made AUG clones, targeted for the US market.

Best of luck in the ADF. I'm joining the US Army. I'm stuck with a M16/M4 XD. I hate the concept of Direct Impregnation.

  • ur a baby killer.

  • I think you want to say direct "impingement" hahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • ur our bitch.

  • well the AUG looks good im purchasing one for myself to see how much shit it can take and still keep firing, i wanna test its MOA too

  • I'm very curious about its accuracy too, haven't got my hands on one yet. They're made in many different places by different companies but reputedly shoot the same. The standard 1.5x scope is ridiculous for this kind of calibre (and I'd want a crosshair), I would use something much stronger for a .223 at home.

  • They should have a pretty far range due to the sights and the shear length of the barrel. That is why the bull pup design is soo popular. you can put a longer barrel in a more compact design. But the famas is the only good looking one.

  • I never really liked the Famas...Its just such an ugly weapon...In my opinion the best bullp up weapon is the Steyr AUG :D

  • Well everyone is different. Anyways, i think the bullpup design will pretty much be the future. Austria, Australia, Britain, France and Israel have all adopted a bullpup rifle. The only problem with the gun is the weight distribution. Almost all the weight is located in the back but thanks to light material, it has been minimized. People have already designed a M4 like bullpup and sketched a ak47 bullpup. The ak/m4 will be around for a while. Even the mp40 is still in use in 3rd world countries

  • Yes I was just sharing my opinion.I do like the old Assault Rifles(FNC,M16,AKm/AK47,etc.) alot better than todays rifles (Famas,F2000,L85,AUGA3,etc.)...Ive never really been a big fan of the bullpup.Anyways Thx for sharing your knowledge :D

  • The bullpup design is more of a love or hate kinda thing.

  • @amer1cancer2753 the weight distribution is not such a problem with a grenade launcher

  • the reason for the 1.5x scope is so that you can keep both eyes open in combat if you are to by an aug see if you can get the one with the rail systom so you can use allmost any scope

  • Comment removed

  • i had this gun when i was in the austrian army until last saturday. the circle in the scope is no actual crosshair its made so that an 1.80m average man fits in, in 300 m distance because its effective range is 300.

  • So it is "Made by the Austrians,"

"Used by the Australians and other countries."

    @_@ I'm confused.

  • the uploader just didn`t know that austrian`s doesnt live n australia.:D

  • Lol, it's made by the Austrians, that funny beer-drinking nation, and is used by the AustRALIANS, that funny beer-drinking nation :P

    It gets easier to remember.

  • It's used in both countries ^_^

In Austria it is known as Stg 77 and in Australia as F88

And we are not just a beer drinking nation *lol* ;o)

  • yeah u r. no one takes u guys seriously

  • I have this gun steyr aug mil. version

  • Perhaps it was his ammo or a bad mag, but it did seem to fail far too often. Very neat design and I Never fired one personally, but, if this is the norm for them, I would select another rifle.

  • Yep, couldnt help noticing that! I wonder how it works more frequently it will jam up in field conditions.. :-)

  • I had the chance to fire it during my time in the Austrian Armed Forces

And no... mine never jammed... the only reason that could be causing this problem is bad ammo... I am sure that those bullets wouldn't have left the barrel of a M16 M4 or any other 223 rifle either.

  • cool vid but there are some mistakes: the button you call forward assist is for silence loading(if the weapon is oiled you don't have any probs), the gasventile is not for dirty ammo it's for extreme coldness and training ammo.and if you would oil inner parts you won't have anny breaks wihle burstfiring!the cross round the doughnut is not a other version it's only younger.if the trigger go's to hard(usually when the rifle is new)you have to built out the hammer and rub 1mm off the round side.

  • The only critisism I have (after training with and using the SLR and M16) is the trigger pull - it's heavy. Also, there is a slighyt 'lag' when firing automatic. You have to 'pull through' the first shot to get the trigger fully to the rear and get your burst away.

  • Our New Zealand styers are marginaly better that the Aussie ones (although they are manufactured in the same Australian factory) in that ours have a faint cross hair engraved onto the aiming 'doughnut'. It makes long range shooting, and applied fire (aiming off) a bit more accurate. The downside is that you tend to concentrate too much on the cross hair rather than using the whole 'doughnut' when engaging close range 'rushing' targets.

  • Jamming a lot!

  • Probably crap ammo or a very dirty rifle. The guy firing it dosen't look too proffesional.

Can't remember ever having stopages with mine.

  • Yeah, he looks like mix of trailer trash redneck with date rapist. That explains everything ;)

BTW I envy both of you.

  • Envy? Why? Because we have got the chance to use one of these rifles?

  • Yes, exacly.

  • holy FTE augman.

  • .223 is an civil ammo so it have a bit less power than 5.56, it's the same caliber though, so, you can use .223 in 5.56 version but i think that 5.56 in .223 civil version could explode the gun.

  • na it wouldn't

  • the steyr aug got 5,56

  • I don't think that it liked that ammo too much, jammed quite a bit.

  • Cheap ammo lol

  • no, the p90 fires 5.7x28mm rounds, which are very fast and have extremely good penetration but it is a carbine, and does not have the range, accuracy and power of this assault rifle

  • The p90 is actually an smg, not a carbine. And in this movie, this Steyr is in carbine configuration, not rifle.

  • the irish army use this assult rifle to good weapon if u ask me

  • probably dodgy cheap ammo that keeps missing

  • how typical the steyr suffers multiple stoppages even during live fire...

  • is the .223 the same as the 5.56mm?

  • not sure, byt i kno that the steyr aug is 5.56...

so according to him, yes theyd be the same thing

  • 5,56×45mm NATO = .223 Remington

  • 5.56x45 NATO is NOT the same as a .223. Look at the powder types and the actual bullets.. they r different. The round was modified to suit military purposes. I have fired the weapons actively in the Aust Army and quiet obviously, I would guess that most of the people commenting on this rifle have never even seen one letalone fired one. Stop Talkin Shit.

  • Just for your information: I served in the AUT Army... so don't f*** with me!

I related on the technical data ... It says: "Caliber: 5.56x45 mm (.223 Rem.)".

  • emes88 don't f*** with me!.. lol or what??

Agressive little man arn't you, still doesnt change what i said, it wasnt a personal shot at you but to all out the armchair commandos.

  • Misunderstanding... no offense meant at all ;-)

    ... sorry!

  • i thought it accepted 30 rnd and 42rnd mags, or is that a special magazine that can hold 32 rounds?

  • dont know?? ive never heard of a 32 round mag. yea there is the standard 30 round one and a 42 round one for when your using the 24inch heavy barrel. the guy's probley a retard who cant count or read lol

  • yeh i agree i have only shot with 30 round mag's and 42 round mags
