  • This is totaly awsome, makes me wanna visit this place and just relax and learn, and to help em out as much as i possible could with anything from money to love!

  • You will never hear them talk of our inventions and some of which they stole from Africa. My grandfather always told me we show the western world Quinone to cure malaria fever. They found it in our herbs home remedy for fever. They took glory for everything.whereas we've been dealing with ourselves before they came to tell us to follow them blindly.

  • I am just so blown away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hello

  • I n'i tche. Filmi diara kosebe. I be anglais kan fo nyeneman. I y'a kalan yoro jumen? I once heard someone laughing at a song on the radio because the balafon was saying, "Little by little the bird builds its nest," which means we must work hard to get ahead in life. But the singers were singing, "I'd rather go to Seydou's house and drink beer." Only with African languages and instruments can one pull off such counterpoint between instruments, words and music.

    Alla ka aw baradji.

  • @barromoussa What is this from, or what do you mean? :)

  • Amazing video by some amazing people. I wish I could understand what the musicians are saying with the Balafone.

  • Do you miss the beauty of Upper Volta?

  • I cannot tell you, I`ve never been there- been to The Gambia, Senegal and Guine-Bissau, great great experiences-, but I want to visit one day...Is there a special reason you call Burkina Faso Upper Volta still??? Please let me know... Greetings

  • Upper Volta is such an impressive name and Burkina Faso is just the opposite.

    Gambia

    Senegal

    Nigeria

    Togo

The Gabon and so many others did NOT change.

    Bring back:

    Dahomey

    Basutoland

    etc.

  • yeah, I see...Respect

  • wtf?

  • hello booboolane...how are you today...where u from?

  • what beauty.. this is a blessing. the percission of the tuning. the playing reminds me of an old congolese video of balafons played in the village with several players like about 4-6. bukina faso. give thanks...

  • So,so nice ! Really what an excellent work, congratulations ! Evelyne

  • Absolutely Beautiful....

  • I am very glad you enjoyed Samadou talking about the Sambla baan. His village is about an hour and a half northwest of Bobo-Dioulasso near the Mali frontier. He is an English teacher at the Université de Bobo-Dioulasso. He and his friend Alhassane Sanou helped make the videos from Burkina that I have included here. I enjoyed your video Butterfly and the Cat and will look at the others to learn more about the Cayman Islands. Mike Johnston

  • @zmgriffith sounds like peace in africa

  • I am grooving with this! I just played a gig today on bass marimba with Unity Nguyen on Kora and other friends. I'm going to search for more of your great music!
