Elite set the benchmark for space sims, as well as being the first true 3D game. I'm a 5 year veteran of EVE which is an awsome game (bar some of the politics), but no space game beats what Elite was back in the day!

I just wish Braben would pull his finger out and make/finish the 4th game!

eve online is a great game. Not the best game ever made, but very underrated, and honestly, the only space game I know of that has had a company work only on one game for 6 years straight.

from 10,000 subs to 300,000, even if you don't like it, it's amazing game.
