thanks heaps! i'm only learning after effects atm and video copilot is by far the best site! i've been trying to move away from copying the tutorials word for word to try and create my own stuff. I've got a sony hdr-v1p. it's an awesome camera, never had a problem with it.
well done, too bad for not making the final ten...it was really well edited. I think maybe it just fell flat at the end with the her reaction of not having any chips...but im being REALLY picky :D Well done and keep up the work!

I guess we gave it our best and we had a good time doing it.
I should have spent more time setting up the freezing time effect, we had no green screen, so I ended up using masks in after effects.

I had trouble getting my 2nd ad approved...no one at Doritos would return my call... ended up deleting drinks frame by frame. It was accepted on last day.
Mine never even got put on their site even though I received a reply that it got through the moderation phase whatever that meant.
I only found out last minute and had no time to get actors together to do what I initially intended because nobody was available at short notice but I still wanted to make an attempt just for the heck of challenging myself.
In any case the best thing never wins so just wanted to say I'm really sorry that you missed out. You got my congrats as best submission!

kind of a long story. basically we submitted it early last week and it wasn't approved, so after i fixed it, they called me up to make sure they had the correct version from us.
ohhh i see. yeah i just rang up n apparently ours will be up tomorrow. even though its on utube now. yours is awesome. the best ive seen is this one n this other one called make sure u share them. and maybe 'make snacks not war'

Looks like there are some videocopilot inspired effects in there =P Doritos had better get this one up soon. Mine FINALLY appeared today and took over a week to do so...but its stuffed up so i had to resubmit from my own youtube account. Id be interested to know what video camera and software you used out of curiousity, as im a film/video uni student, also 19. Anyways good luck.
hey mate, yeahh videocopilot all the way!! dude i've tried all week and then they told me yesterday that they didn't like the partial nike logo so i had to go thru and take it out. now i'm just trying to send it in as many ways as possible so they accept it!! gahhh! haha. i've got a sony HVR-V1P and i used after effects, premiere pro and photoshop 4 this. i'm also at uni... doing medical science tho haha film's just a hobby of mine. what uni u at and what course u doin?

1.Love the cuts at 4sec mark (Open pack, then chip in mouth) Good editing
2. Love the guy dropping his phone...(he literary drops everything for the chips...cool)
3. Special affects were brilliant - Don't know how u did it - Green Screen?
4. girl was a great actor and really pretty
5. End shot with guy waling off was funny
6. Only criticism is end title font was a bit hard to read. but may be due to you-tube compression.
