the non braded wire is bigger than the braded ones, of course it will go slower

It only spins faster because it is lighter, not because there's a difference in conductivity.

it is actually the design and shape try using only shredded wire on the bottom and solid for the frame .......first wrap the wire around the magnet the attach it to the solid copper wire

well you can pretty much get'em anywhere. office stores wal mart any place like that would have them.
