It's been YEARS since I've played Chrono Trigger. Back in the days when Super Nintendo was new, and all the rage. You're probably right, and I don't care enough to get the rom to see if you're right. So I'll take your word for it.
I can't figure it out! How do you do that? Did you have to buy the 25 dollar version, because I can't find where to make songs! Can you help me out please?
I'm hopeless when it comes to reading and playing music on the piano. everytime i try to write this song in letters i always mess up. I'm unable to read sheet music. I'm just horrible at this. but i really want to play this song. Could someone send me the keys for right side of the piano?
@BrolySuperSaiyen You're born with the potential for great musical talent, or you aren't. Unfortunately, playing an instrument is something that has never come natural to me. I could force myself to learn, but I'd never be truly great like some are. So, I think in the end I'm happier just enjoying listening.
This is rather nice and would make the song very easy to learn. My only issue is that the melody isn't my issue; it's the harmony, the left hand, and you have a very simplified version of it. Ideally, it has a kind of repeating ascent that's REALLY hard to master. Perhaps you can make a version with the more complicated left hand/ I'd love to be able to learn it! Thanks for the vid :)
I love this game. I've played piano for only 3 years (I like the viola better lol), and I find these tutorials very helpful. I guess to each their own when it comes to a learning music
I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano. I may refer back to this as a quick way to feel like I learned something. (also Sadame from X/1999 if anyone is wondering)
i think piano tutorial is pointless cuz you still have to right is down to learn then play. why dont you just read the music and play. thumb down if you agree with me lol.
@trivuong Yes reading music is preferred for playing but some people just wanna learn a quick simple song instead of waiting and going through the entire process of learning to read music oh and btw find me the sheet to this arrangement.
@mavs972 you got some point but in able to enjoy playing the song you got to learn the way to read the sheet music. for me i only use tutorial when i play the song i learned didn't feel right. i think if you truly want to play the song the best way is read the sheet is take time like 2-5 years in able to read and play. BTW if you looking for this sheet music go to webside home.comcast.net
@mavs972 I agree completely...I love playing the piano, but i fail something fierce at reading sheet music...Something like this definitely helps. Thank you =D
@mavs972 or some people, like myself. Over the course of about 9 months of trying had succeeded in Not being able to read music sheets and were kicked out of music class and had since given up trying. Despite the fact that I can still play. =P
@trivuong Nothing against reading music but I find it rather overrated. People I know who read music tend to rely on it too much and can't play songs without it. I'm not sure what's wrong with seeing the notes visually like this anyway. I mean it's very straight forward and shows you exactly which ones to press. Personally I find having to find sheet music too much of a pain most of the time so I play by ear.
@SpyHamster right..but if you can play by ears that will be awnsome but....not a lot of people can play by ears the reason i prefer to play piano by readign the sheet music cuz is it improve your note reading ability also you can learn the right speed of the music...yeah finding music is pain cuz there are so many version of it and some of them are complicated to read.....
@trivuong You don't have to write anything down : / I find piano tutorials like these a lot easier~ I just grab my keyboard and study the video as I play along. It took me only a couple hours to learn the Organization XIII theme song from Kingdom Hearts that way~ Reading sheet music is a good way too, but for a visual person like me, who plays by ear, this is ten times faster and easier~ Thanks to mavs972 btw for this vid : D
Dude! Great job! I'm going to learn how to play this now!
Also can I request some more Chrono Trigger music with this type of tutorial like Secret of the Forest and Corridors of Time? That would be great if you can. Thanks :D
Yeah, im not sure what it calls, but Midi songs are built on midi channels, and each midi channel can be set to a tune (or it is called something similar). Such as 01-Grand Piano.
@gottmospahedengubbar Snes games use SPC, another format, to store music, not MIDI. You can also find them on the internet if you want, and there is a spc-to-midi converter somewhere, I think.

this is just a basic guideline for the chords. if you are experienced piano player you can know the chords and just build your notes around them

Learning how to read music is easy. Well, not really, but after a couple months you can decipher sheet music like it's English.
