  • i clearly remember his debut year(2002) when he led the Angels to a world championship. he's been phenominal the whole his career

  • K-Rod! welcome to the brewers!

  • hahah K Rod is not a good closer. yeah he broke the saves record in 2008 but he BLEW 7 that year. he only broke it because the Angels let him have so many opportunities by giving him a 3 or less run lead so often. just imagine how many saves Rivera, Wilson, or Bell would have if they 69 opportunities. more than 62!

  • That's one arrogant fool who always use to over do it on the mound after each save...

  • single season record dumbshit haha

  • before he was washed up. he's just an embarrassment for the Mets now.

  • @AnotherUser19 Washed up? Hes only 27 right? he is still really good, just with a really bad team. He only did it for money

  • @AnotherUser19

    19/20 is "wash" up right?

  • Trevor Hoffman is the all-time save leader, with 596. Francisco Rodriguez has barely 250 saves. What the hell is this all-time saves record bs, don't people in New York know how to count?

  • @natedogg1835 in a single season smart one he saved 62 games in one season

  • @natedogg1835 In New York we do know how to count especially since we have a closer that is going to the Hall of Fame in Mariano Rivera. This must be some Met fan who posted that.

  • @natedogg1835 trevor hoffman is overrated, look at his lifetime ERA 2.87 for a dam closer.

  • @natedogg1835

Hoffman at K-Rod's age now had 50-150. K-Rod already has 250. Who's the idiot now?

  • @natedogg1835

LOL why get rid of the comment? K-Rod is ON PACE to beat Hoffman's record as long as he gets about 30-35 saves yearly (he'll probably get more). The stats are there.

  • @TheMaineShow1 he plays for the Mets now, so his amount of saves in a year are obviously going to decrease, he needs to prove himself over a whole season, it's only June

  • Will always be an angel in my book <3

  • K-Rod is a great closer. He just needs to take away that celebration.

  • @Xeldominicano2k he dedicate all his wins to his grandpa who died.

  • @Xeldominicano2k

He does it to honor his dad. He doesn't have to take anyway anything

  • He was barely even a top 5 closer that year. Give Mo or Nathan 70 save opportunites in a year and they'd break this record.

  • @john32190

You do know Mariano once blew 9 saves in a season? Oh wait, you weren't watching baseball then.

  • Isn't this when he beat the single-season record, not all-time?

  • noo not because he left. . . after the world series he turned into an ass and became so full of himself it was ridiculous. just not the classy player that he used to be.

  • ya thats some bs

  • ima die hard angels fan. and i love what he did for the team, but i really really dislike this player

  • ok buddy i belive you....bullshit

  • ok he really thinks hes the best ever look at trevor hoffman. mariano rivera. lee smith. bruce sutter they all still shit on him

  • Mariano Rivera: 500+ saves.

  • Made in Venezuela

  • he did this on the team who developed him to where and how good he is today

  • i was at this game....

  • el mejor cerrador de las mayores!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WOOOHH! Go Frankie!

  • Well, judging by how angry you are at reading my previous comment, it's good to know that I'm getting to Mets fans hahaha.

I also find it funny that you would make fun of me for typing a scenario up with good grammer and spelling...hilarious....

As for the scenario, given the fact that the Mets always choke and are a mentally weak team, I couldn't help but type up this situation, since the Phillies are in the Mets heads and always find a way to win, especially when it matters most.

  • mets suck cause of heilman and schoenweis. we don't have them anymore. we now have the best set-up/closer in the MLB, the closer being the all-time saves leader. dumbass.

  • Heilman and Schoenweis are not the only reasons why the Mets choked the past 2 seasons. They choked at the plate (Wright), in the field, late in games, by way of managing, etc...

So now they bring in K-Rod, whom, I agree will instantly improve the Mets bullpen as a closer but who knows if both he and Putz will be able to perform in the NY spotlight. When you guys got Billy Wagner, he was arguably the best closer in the game and look what happened...

Wait until september, when it matters..

  • Harry Kalas: "K-Rod is one out away from sealing a win for the Mets. The Phillies are down 7-6, have runners on 1st and 2nd, with 2 outs, and a full count to Shane Victorino. The 3-2 pitch is hit well into left field, it's got a chance, and it is outta here! Shane Victorino hits a 3-run homer to end the ball game and send to K-Rod to his first blown save in a Mets uniform! The Mets were up 7-0, but the Phils come back and get an incredible victory at Citizens Bank Park!"

    Hah...hah...hah!

  • he's got santana's number tough?.....is he gonna change it to 62?...

  • LETS GO METS!

  • **BREAKING NEWS**

K-Rod just agreed to sign with the New York Mets for 3yrs, $37 Mil plus incentives.

  • k-rod!!!

  • too much of a celebration...

its like he won the freakin world series or something lol

  • he didnt break the all time only the mast in a season
