This movie is my number one favorite film ever! I love the scene when he finally learned how to read the cleaning bottle "Ajax" from the kitchen, and he jumps up and down laughing and happy with his daughter and wife in his arms, then his lawyer "buddy" comes in really serious and confused with the chaos... haha :-) it's such a heart warming story really well told, even the background music makes you want to cry... it's one of those rare films that makes you feel that you were meant to see.

My favourite parts of the movie are Henry and his daughter. From Henry's indifference towards his daughter at the beginning to the end where he brings her home from boarding school the journey is really sweet as the two strangers with no bond become a father and daughter profoundly attached to each other.

The trailer is OK. I saw the film in Paris, France and really enjoyed the film. It ougth to be shown on TV instead of worse films shown 20 times over.

My cousin bought it at an estate sale and I went with him. The people sold it for 50 cents. When we looked online it was very expensive.

The trailer shows us that Henry was a 'bad person' before his brain injury by indicating that he smoked cigarettes, and was possibly involved in the legal field. They should have added indications of conservative political beliefs to really damn the character, but that would go over most heads. Cigarettes are the lazy writer's easiest device to indicate 'white trash' or 'pure evil'.
