I worked for Toshiba and got customers like this nonstop. Used to sell laptops in Fry's Electronics Las Vegas -- I have respect for call center agents that do their jobs and deal with this time after time without slack.
Hearing this reminds me how stressful it is to work in a call center. Haay.. There should be a law to protect customer service reps against these abusive callers too. Amen?
@DJDispopulate some companies have a policy abuse the agents and you will not be serviced. account gets closed and money is returned. customer gets black balled never to be serviced again. Banks have that policy in general. The customers are labeled the unbankable. Purty much POS customers that don't have much money anyway so why bother with them. These customers are more trouble than they are worth.
For people who plans to apply in some other CALL CENTER companies please do not apply for ACSEND ASIA MAKATI the interviewer is very RUDE, STUPID, SARCASTIC AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

i dunno dell's process but in my account if its not an account specific/account related issue hindi na namen kailangan mag verify ng PII..basta mapull-up lang yung info sa screen (na sa tingin ko naman ay napull-up na ni agent kase binigay naman na yung account number) para may maiwan na notes bout sa mga TS steps.. ayun lang nang aasar lang yang rep..hahaha!!!

The agent is just doing his job to verify all infos. But if ur going to encounter this type of caller, just go on help right away the customer, dont give a shit about the infos. Take note and save it that the customer is requesting immediate support. Actually thats what I usually do.

I love handling Irate customers. It's part of my day... hahaha! Let them yell and swear all they want and yell back with your phone on mute. It helps to release your stress a lot! call them names while on mute. I often press the mute button cause I do side comments most of the time. Mute button is my bestfriend! haha. I can sound so calm over the phone but really, you should wish not to hear all my profanity if you're my caller. haha. good thing my satisfaction rate is still more than 85%. :)

Hearing the call, it was obvious that the agent remained composed and maybe nervously talking to a yelling man. He was doing his job and following company dictated call handling procedure. The caller should not be called stupid or asshole, we all are customers too and we call for customer service and support as well when we don't understand how technology works etc. It's the procedure.

If you can't even deal with a computer, trying to shut if down, what's your right in this world to throw a tantrum over the phone at someone who's trying to help you? @shyjsm as service rep, you should try to calm the customer first by apologizing for the inconvenience, empathizing (saying, "I know where you're coming from..."), and giving assurance ( like, "let me try my very best to help you..."). If customer is still irate, then use the soft guilt method (like, "In as much as we would want to help you, we couldn't until you calm down so we can properly assist you with your concern..."). Irate customers will do their very best to own you. Do not let them.

i have worked in dell as a tech support kaya alam ko na dapat nga itanong ng agent ung mga info na un, pero kung upset and frustrated na ung customer eh hindi n dapat nya un itanong, ung basic lang, like service tag and phone# for callback.. taz ung agent parang walang pakialam sa pakiramdam ng cx... that agent is fucking off the cx discreetly ahaha pangasar...lol

Better to get a call center in the Philippines than in India. -At least you can understand filipinos when they speak. I have a friend who works at the Dell call center in Cebu. Most of the call takers there make less than $6000 u.s. per year working the night shift listening full time to idiots like this one. -Says a lot about the integrity of Philippinos vs the lack of american integrity.
