  • The Federal Health Care bill is unconstitutional and corrupted by special interests. Let the States decide to implement their own health systems, if their citizens want them. Support CA SB-810 if you want your CA constituents to have public health care and keep the fed out of it!

  • @hazeywolf: How can the states implement health care when they are in midst of orchestrated budget crises? Of course they would say, Oh we just can't afford this. Give me a break, the Constitution talks about the general welfare of the people. Doesn't health care apply?

  • @judyleasugar97 U need to study study the constitution. The US is a united confederation of states, with the people and the states retaining sovereignty - the US isn't a "nation;" its a confederation of independent sovereign states. State budget crises are the business of the states and their citizens, as are their laws and any social services the people of the state choose to enact. Each state is a kind laboratory experiment where local governments and citizens collectively govern themselves.

  • @hazeywolf: This drum beat of state's rights by the Tea Party is prompted by the 2 percent wealthy because it suits their interests undermining the Feds. Really, why do you care? I gave you a specific reason why it wouldn't work to rely on states for health care. They are already slashing social programs right and left.

  • @judyleasugar97 The current version of U Healthcare law is unconstitutional (imo). The best chance for the fed. gov. to craft a constitutional version of U Health Care under the general welfare clause (which might withstand a SCOTUS ruling) would probably b the implementation of a single payer system funded by new taxes.

Judy - what r the limits on the federal government? Is there anything they don't have authority 2 control? The fed. gov. was meant 2 b limited, the states remain sovrn

  • @hazeywolf: Let me ask you this, why do the 2 percent wealthy and the health insurance companies have the right to control this country? Everything you're saying is a diversion from that.

  • @judyleasugar97 The 1st statement I made was: "The Federal Health Care bill is unconstitutional & corrupted by special interests." By "special interests" I mean insurance/pharma/med industry $ the ownership class that controls & profits from them.

The federal gov. and both political parties r in the thrawl of elites. The constitution places limits on the fed government, which it consistently excedes @ the expense of individual liberty & state's rights. Some states have health care.

  • @hazeywolf: The insurance companies are fighting tooth and nail to defeat the health care bill. Why do you think they would do that if it supports their interests?

  • @judyleasugar97 Its wrong for you to suggest that I'm "diverting" due to some evil "elite" agenda. The current h c law is unconstitutional. Single payer would limit/eliminate special interest corruption and is more likely to pass SCOTUS review on constitutional grounds. However, I prefer states adopt their own universal health care in lieu of the federal gov't, because federal bureaucracies are are prone to mismanagement, fiscal irresponsibility, mission creep, and bloated growth.

  • @hazeywolf: But you ARE diverting because of an elite agenda. Funny how you Tea party people mimic the interests of the 2 percent wealthy. I've already given you the reason the states couldn't handle it, because they would claim it would be too much for their budget problems to support. Duh.

  • @judyleasugar97 I prefer my state adopt my state legislator's SB 810 non-profit universal health car plan rather than be subject to Obamacare - which is corrupt, unconstitutional, and grows federal gov't in a myriad of ways.

If SB810 succeeds - other state's can adopt something similar & vice-versa. If it fails, it can be amended or de-funded & people can leave the state if they wish. That's the way the founder's intended it 2 b, & what the constitution supports & what I stated here early on.

  • @hazeywolf: "People can leave the state if they wish." How many people do you know that can just pick up and go to another state? You're unrealistic to say the least.

  • @judyleasugar97 I live in SF, Pelosi is my rep & doing wrong by me & CA. SF has a public health ins. plan. SF's model isn'tt single payer, but it goes farther than the federal healthcare law passed last year because it uses a public option. SF’s system is similar to public/private models used in some European countries.

CA is the 7th largest econ in the world - we can afford state h.c. - just need to get our wastful spending in order (as does the fed).

  • @hazeywolf: If that's true you must be the only Tea Party douchebag living in San Francisco. Get wasteful spening in order? As in not letting billionaire's get tax breaks and stop with the unnecessary wars???

  • @judyleasugar97 Judy - I never claimed to be a tea party member. I've been polite w/u - but you've been rude, closed minded, and uninformed. Please don't bother conversing with me in the future unless you can be polite and thoughtful.

  • @hazeywolf: And yet you mimic Tea Party values . . .

  • @judyleasugar97 I understand that you lean toward a "democratic socialist" political spectrum - but do you also believe that the federal government is virtually unlimited in its authority, is the only sovereign power, and/or that the US should do away with the state's sovereignty and rights to craft their own laws and governmental agencies? Why bother to have states at all?

  • Its time washington remembers who they work for. Love the truth.

  • Love this guy!!

  • I think we need to stop paying taxes for corrupt politicians who rape us for money for bankers and insurance companies owned and controlled by bankers. Let's stop paying taxes and give the money DIRECTLY to the doctors? But you dont want to hear that one do you? Because Queen Heroin Whore would lose out on all those potential profits, wouldn't she?

  • Thank you, Rep. Miller, for reminding people in Congress of their financial privilege.

  • "Welcome to the Republican Party - please check your empathy at the door."

  • haha, Vallejo? Richmond? Homicide central. Bankrupt. Won't pay their debts. Won't pay their bonds.

Who the HELL is this guy lecturing? Your party has been in charge for decades!!!!!

    Boxer, Feinstein, all the rest.

they regulated doctors right out of the state. And now, they wanna talk about "health coverage?"

Richmond....Vallejo (most miserable city in USA).....this guy is not credible. His places are dumps. Renowned for being so.
