@Drakyr01 First off, I don't know what 'boink' means, and two, I think that, because without Patti Smith, and her engineer Shelly Yakus, we would never have had the larger/louder drum beats, and most of the 80s music would have been even worse. Patti Smith and her engineer created a sound that revolutionized rock and punk music. If Tom Petty hadn't have had the same engineer with his album along with PS's album, rock would have died out and never transitioned.

Guess I'm just not very diverse with your culture--probably don't want to be noticing your taste in music. @Drakyr01 If you think "Having more talent than Smith" is being able to dace around half naked, then that's your opinion.but when I think of talent, I'm referring to MUSICAL talent. You probably aren't a musician, or know anything about music, but if you did, you wouldn't respect Cas quote as much because you could actually hear the editing faults and pitch changes in this track. If she needs so much editing on top of her actual voice to make it sound interesting, there isn't anything goodthere.

@Drakyr01 Personally, as a musician, I'd also like to point out, that the only thing you need musical talent for Cas to create a cover of this song, was a little bit of piano in the beginning, & I guarantee you, some geek squad guy with no musical talent sat in front of a computer & created this song. @Drakyr01 Thirdly, I honestly feel sorry for people who enjoy listening to something so fake, and unrealistic as this is on a musical level. There may be art in editing a voice and adding a few cheesy effects to it, but will never be appreciated by listeners who WANT to enjoy music because it took hard work, talent, and a true sense of purity for music and RESPECT for it. If people respected music then they would have enough appreciation to create music with real talent like Patti Smith.

I don't listen to much Patti Smith, but I know she's a true artist who has talent. Unlike this woman on this video. not really, only few artist actully write their songs themselves.. i know a few who do it theirselves (Michael Jackson, Christina Aguilera, Aerosmith..) Madonna, J-Lo, 50 Cent, they all get songs from songwriters, so it's not a shame to remake an excisting song, it adds something extra, the original is proud when an artist want to remake his song (Michael jackson = beat it by fallout boy, smooth criminal by Alien Ant Farm)
