I HATE the way people on youtube just try to wind others up. A FEW of the comments are from genuine music fans but most are from idiotic children who just don,t know diddly and are out to wind others up. By the way Brians voice is on this track and if you listened to the track properly you would hear it. Dont bother replying to this you WILL be ignored, idiots!
From 1.45-1.48 you clearly hear Brian's voice, it goes into a more spoken voice, especially towards the end.
Now this is what i reckon, you can call me an idiotic American if you want, but i'm sitting here in England with English blood running through me, so that won't work.
Also i'm not gay and i'm not some sort of music freak.
It has been over 15 years from Freddie's death - and still no one has gotten even close to his voice.. And probably never will.. Sure, there are great singers like Greg Lake, but no one can really match the greatness of Freddie.. :(
Yet another lesser known Queen song. I can tell you back in the 70's it was not one you would hear on the radio, don't know why... Another example of musical talent, classy, sounds like yesteryear music. They were well rounded and showed musical divesity like the Beatles, only Freedie was a better singer than both Paul and John. I'm sure they would both have agreed.
So because I have an opinion and I think that one part is Brian singing I get four thumbs down?!?!?!?!??! Fucking idiots. FUCK YOU GUYS!!!!!!! Seriously..... OK...I'll CONFORM!!! SInce that's what America is about anyway... CONFORMING.... It's Freddie singing!!!!!!! HAPPY!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!k
America frightens me............. But being that it is a SHALLOW society, it doesn't shock me that this is what gets people worked up..... a "FALSEHOOD"???????? Give me a fucking break.... lets be self righteous about who sings what in a Queen song. FUCKING DISGUSTING.
@brainwasher9876 Actually, it's their engineer, the late Mike Stone. It's in the album credits, and Brian has talked about it on his website. Brian sang it in concert, but Mike sings on the record.
Whether I was wrong or not has nothing to do with it. I was referring to the responses I received because people disagreed with me. I find that stupid and disgusting and above all AMERICAN.... how appropriate!!
Is there a comprehension problem???????.... YES!! Freddie Mercury sings the song... I never said that he did not... all I said.. was starting from 1:45 - 1:49 was BRIAN. PERIOD!!!! That does not sound like Freddie. That part is Brian.... Freddie sings lead on the rest of the song.
Yeah, sounds a little like Roger Taylor, but.. the sound engineer and co-producer Mike Stone were featured for this line; "Hey, boy, where'd you get it from? Hey, boy, where did you go?" (check out that songfacts site)

Oh and, Brian did more of such stuff, like in Keep Yourself Alive: "No, I think I just got 2 steps nearer to my grave!"

I'm not saying he's as good or better, but Mika has been compared to him.
SaveTheWhales2012 4 years ago 2
Yeah, Mika is good, but I think Freddie is still WAY better. They can both perfectly shift from high to low or vice versa in no time tough.
sluiper101 3 years ago 5
Josiah Leming, although completely different from Freddy, has a unique and strangely intriguing, elusive voice. A similarity they both share.
AbsurdRandomness3 3 years ago 2
Someone has to try. Freddie was shy, maybe there's another good shy singer? :D
Still, no replacing freddie.

It's not an opinion, it's called falsehood. It's clearly freddie singing. Anyone that's half a queen fan knows this.

LOL, are you really calling America a shallow society because you believe Brian May is singing this song? You're wrong.. I'm sorry, but you are.
Awesomeoh12345 2 years ago
it's clearly not.

though I seriously don't like nicevideo's idiotic racism, 1:45 really IS brian singing. I have the original video to the song, so...

It has everything to do with conforming, but more importantly ... stupidity.

Stupidity? With all due respect, you were wrong.

I'm from America, and you should realize, you're being stupider than most of us are. We disagreed with you because you were WRONG, based on FACTS.
FREDDIE MERCURY IN FACT WAS THE SINGER OF THIS SONG.
