Exactly......They don't teach these kinds of powerful skills in NLP. Anchoring is the skill. It is an example of easy elicitation and anchoring to a space. In this case 2 contracting states. One of like. The other dislike.
Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is everybody seeing in black shirt that tells them that he is changing state? He looks pretty similar to me (but probably because I dont' know what to look for).
I too, used to hate listening to Tom. I got his first product, I think, it was 10 CDs, and could only listen to it in small doses because his laugh drove me up a wall. Absolutely HATED IT. BUT. Decided to go to a seminar based on recommendations from "people that know." The upshot is that now, I enjoy hearing him laugh (?!?!?!?). I seem to find it comforting for some unknown reason, but this was only AFTER I went to a training and met him in person. And he's NOT a sleaze.
You're welcome Tom - I get ya newsletter and always lookforward to getting new angles on things!
Actually, I rewatched the clip again, and it became a surprising and pleasant spark for a learning actually. You know, when it dawns upon you that submodalities, spatial anchoring et al is well, really naturally occurring phenomena!

he may be a sleazy fat cunt, with a bongo mongo whatever laugh, but the demo he's doing is a very informative and definitive and eye opening to what the topic is he's trying to outline.
I for one cannot stand to listen to Tom for any length of time. I have some of his vid trainings. I just take them in small bits. It is not only his laugh, but the constant "Okay?" that makes my skin crawl. However, Tom (and Kim) are brilliant teachers even if they are irritating people. What they have to offer could change your freaking life.
I don't know anything about NLP. I really didn't get what is he trying to say? What was he doing?
♦ Where can I get to know more about NLP?
♦ Where can I get training courses? Whats the name of the course?
Thanks :)

BigDaddy, criticism is meant to be constructive, based on the real world and therefore tested.
Get the products, learn some of the skills, go to a seminar even and do the stuff in the real world.
After you've made fair and sufficient effort, you will be well qualified to constructively review the material on offer.
