That kinda makes sense, I doubt they could have made it up Cajon Pass with the extra cars anyway. She was slipping on each switch really badly just getting into Colton.
the UP brass did a change of plans they are leaving the coaches at Colton until spring only the Texas Eagle, Cheyenne,and Overland will go with the train and the steam shop equipment.
