yes, of course they helped in a very very significant way, but ALL the allies fought HARDER THAN HELL; far more russians were lost than anyone (many times over), & the brits were the only victorious nation to fight the whole war; 39-45.

p.s: our war machine managed to surpass germany (+ its dominion) 's manufacturing capacity (planes, tanks).

@Hasenbock we brits were the equal of germany in the air, we were their superior at sea, only bested by them in terms of number of infantry & modernity/ effectiveness of their tanks.

we cracked the enigma codes & brought jet planes into service first (same time as germany).

don't insult my family & countrymen amongst the war dead. if hitler can be full of respect for the brits, i'd hope our allies could too.

The Pacific War is almost completely ignored. The documentary lingers over American internment of Japanese and said America should be ashamed. When French troops killed Americans in North Africa, however, nothing was mentioned about the immorality of the act. The French self-obsession borders on delusional. Too bad Americans died to extricate their worthless hides yet again.

You can tell this is a French series. They make it seem like Sword Beach was a joint Anglo-French invasion force. But in fact out of over 20,000 landing troops there were only 200 Free French forces. This documentary is really biased and massively exaggerates the French contribution.
