hi! i know you said you do your braid outs on dry hair, but how do you keep the braidout from being all dry & strawlike when you actually remove the braids & fluff the hair? is the humectant enough? thx!
@cutieface07042 When I do dry braidouts I always spritz my hair with water and seal with an oil or shea butter product. That should help with the dryness. :-)
I've look at this video before but relooking at it. I hope I can get my braidout to come out nice and defined like yours. Mine isa hot frizzy mess! My twistouts are fine, even if my hair is still a lil damp but I need help with braidouts. Any more tips for non-frizzy braidout? Make them bigger than small braids maybe?
@mcgeechevelle Doing medium sized braids should help. If I do my braids (or twists) too small they get really frizzy when I try to separate them. I also can't get away with having a damp braid out..I get best results when the braids are 100% dry. :-)
I can see that you're going for the crimped/wave look and it's very cute but I sooo think that your natural hair texture and length is perfect for a 100% 1960's style afro (patted into a perfect circle/halo of course!). It would be stunning and fierce! Maybe you could do it and post a picture for us to see even if you don't do a vid? Thanks for posting!
To anyone who uses this oil: You may purchase this at amazon.com 4bottles/$23....can't beat that.....especially if this is a DEFstaple for you. JUST THOUGHT YOU GUYS SHOULD KNOW! :)
You look good without makeup...You don't want to get to a point where u have to have makeup on constanly and u end up needing makeup on to look normal. LOL!!!!
I like your personality, you make good videos...I have a question, though totally unrelated to this as a natural perhaps you could answer it for me:I have been natural for almost 4 years now and I notice my hair has hardly grown, all round I would say my hair is about 6 or 7 inches long and in addition, the hair tips seem to break off in large clumps at random places. Any suggestions on what I can do to, 1.stop this breakage, and 2. promote some type of growth??? thanks anyone who has an answer!
I enjoy your videos. You do a good job on your presentations and I identify with you because our hair is almost identical in texture and length. Sometimes I do rollersets and then as they get out, I spritz them with water and product for twist outs. I get so much more stretch for length and lots of compliments. You should try it.

Do you have a tutorial with the curlformers? I'm impressed with how you achieved that look at the end of the video. I' would've gotten discouraged, as I usually do with mine. But you worked it out and it ended up looking good.
So, I've heard you reference in some of your past videos about the henna dye you use on your hair. Would you mind sharing the site for the product you use? I'm looking to color mine as well, but I'm new to coloring on natural hair. I want to be sure I'm using some good product. Love your videos. Very informative with great demos. Keep 'em coming. Have a blessed day! :)
Great vid. I love the Aveda pomade too. It is great for doing twists. I wish it came in a bigger container though because I have a lot of hair and it was gone in two uses. Lol. It was worth it though.
yay! was waiting for a new video! your hair has just about the same texture as mine so its nice to get sort of an idea of what mine will look like when it gets longer! i can't wait!
Oh My Goddddd...I LOOOVEEEE how ur braids out turned to be!!!! its Gorgeoussss!!! Truth be told U have inspired me soo muchh!!! from the 1st video that i saw of u doin "kinky curl" I decided to go back to my natural hair!!. I used to get perms every month or two months, but ive stopped about 3months ago.!!! Because i saw how much of beautiful styles u could get with ur natural hair. Soo thank u for ur inspirations!!! :)
when you do a braidout do you usually just leave it down? are there any other styles you do with stretched styles? i'd really appreciate tutorials if you have any! i'm trying to find some.
oooo hot mess alert!! Nah JUST KIDDIN!! lol girl u don't have to give any of us the "I-look-crazy" warning, we know what we look like on wash days and or lazy days! so its all good :)
plz plz plz do a makeup tut on what u put on ur lips n the nailcolor u used! im in lurve w/ how u paired it w/ the beige tunic for a beautiful, romantic look!
@keishaj777 I'll just tell you :-) on my nails I used a polish called "Hangover" by Urban Outfitters. On the lips I'm wearing MAC's "Made to Order" Lipstick and "Fold & Tuck" Lipglass. The lip products were prob limited edition so just look for a coral lipstick & gloss to get this look!!
Thanks for this vid, Br0nze...One question: Which comes out on your hair better? A braid-out or twist-out? It's been about a year since I tried my last braid-out. I found that it looked more bushy than anything. I will try this technique soon now that my hair is longer.
Great results! Just a tip, I find that one braid or twist directly on the crown helps with volume and fullness with less fluffing and frizz. Just something for you to try!
Wow beautiful, Your braidouts are always so nice and perfect looking to me. I am always afraid of picking out too much of my definition with my twist outs and braid outs, so I typically separate no more than twice. But I like my hair full. So, I spritz it with a light moisturizing mist to help it fluff. but that can't be tricky too? awesome tutorial U look great!
