  • A wonderful song called "Sukiyaki" by Kyu Sakamoto; big hit in the L.A. area, especially, in 1962-63. A song about walking w/one's head up so as not to cry. Why was it re-titled w/such a silly thing as the name of a Japanese dish when it was released in the States? I guess so Americans could remember it. This film is sweet; it always makes me cry. Thank you for posting!

  • Yes, I know but the music is so good! This was a very popular song in the sixties!

  • I agee with you, it is one of my favorite movies and sometimes people can't help the lives that are living. Yes, they both fill a need lacking in the other and find that true love can prevail!

  • This is in the top 5 of my all-time favorite movies. Many people don't like this movie, saying it devalues women (and asians); I think just the opposite. I think it's about two people living lives that don't make them happy, not understanding how free they are to make better choices. They both come to realizations of what they want, come together, and walk off into the sunset-- together. This is the most romantic story ever! Thanks for the upload.
