one thing in lance's favor is that he never really went all out in any race other than the tour. any other race he entered in was to build up to the tour. so he was only in his superhuman form for the month of july. most of the other riders who are accused of doping also tried to win the tour of italy or the tour of spain. just my two cents
to me he acts guilty in public. he doesn't act like an innocent man, but like a very proud guilty man who hasn't been caught. He probably worked harder than anyone else to win those tours, he probably also was using banned substances
Let's just leave it at this -You can blame anyone for anything you want- The hard thing is to prove it, and no one will ever prove Lance to be doping because he doesn't dope!!!!!!!
@ThePierre58 Get your facts right: Caffeine is allowed since 2004.
Furthermore, if u had done just a tiny bit of research (eg reading interviews with athletes who got caught and/or admitted doping), u would've found out rather quickly that the false negative rate in doping controls is huge. UCI doesn't give a damn about doping (see Steakgate), they just want to make money, that's why they pretend the sport to be clean. And of course, Armstrong has tested positive. Rules just precluded sanctions.
@x0einstein0x " get your facts right?" ..." rather quickly"...oh you would nt be yet another arrogant by-product of a FORMER Empire? OK, my turn, A LARGE COFFEE, read Chris Broadmans excellent autobiography, will put a rider over the caffeine mark. Whatever UCI is guilty of, their dope tests are stringent and catch people. Lance Armstrong has NEVER failed a dope test or returned a positive result. " Caught " athletes, most thieves claim everyone steals, have an axe to grind. Your turn....
@ThePierre58 There is no caffeine mark, as u can see on the WADA website.
Did u ever read an interview with Verbruggen or McQuaid? It's frightningly obvious from their statements that they don't care about doping. U must be really naive not to see that basically the whole of professional cycling is a scam, including Lance Armstrong.
But I won't be giving you lectures. It's all on the web. There's heaps of information on the German website cycling4fans.de, in case you speak German.
@x0einstein0x My German, I am English, is not as good as your English. However, instead of fact swapping, why dont we wait for real evidence. 60 Minutes is a tabloid TV show, interested in ratings. Nothing has been proved against Lance. He denies using PED s. Captured doped cyclists are hardly credible witnesses. Armstrongs training schedule was gruelling. He climbed L Alpe d Huez 5 times on a training day. It took me 2 hours and i was dying. He has passed US and UCI tests. Are they all wrong?
Lance - what a total champion....and if it was proven in 2005 that he used epo in 1999, how come nothing happened? This "assumption of guilty until proven innocence" is pathetic...doubters can continue to doubt...Lance is a hell lot stronger than they are...
and everyone who says he took epo/dope or whatever are just brainless morons who can't think for themselves
so they read stupid jealous french newspapers -.-"
Lance is the purest rider in the whole peloton and as far as i can see the most talented one also! i don't hear anyone saying these things about Merkx, Hinault or Indurain or other great riders no it has to be bout Lance cause he IS the best!!
and he IS going for number Tour number 8!!! FTW!!!
Neither, I'm waiting for some sort of compelling argument giving me some sort of proof but judging by your negative 6 on your comment above, everyone thinks your both of the above.
Firstly, he is the most tested athlete in the world bar none. Secondly, no-one has proof that he does, he's even independently tested to prove it. Thirdly, he's stared death in the face with cancer, do you honestly believe that he would risk the adulation of millions around the world to shorten his life by using EPO/blood transfusions? Seriously....
even he is lying about drugs, as all cyclist, I love him- best tourer ever. Actually if he is confident about his physical state thats a serious warning to the other cyclists.
No question in my mind - performance enhancing drug user.

Lance Armstrong....the most dope-tested athlete, they have showed up at 0300 to obtain random blood samples, and he is clean.
UCI, cycling's governing body, has the most stringent anti doping standards in sport.
A large coffee or anti-hystamine will result in a positive test.
I wonder how many other sports would fair under such tough conditions.

Look at the facts. Take for example the Tour winners since 1996:
1996: Riis - admitted doping in 2007
1997: Ullrich - banned in 2006
1998: Pantani - in 1999 disqualified from the Giro for a high red blood-cell count
1999-2005: Armstrong
2006: Landis - disqualified for Pereiro, who later was involved in Operacion Puerto
2007: Alberto Contador - see below
2008: Sastre - no doping accusations
2009-2010: A. Contador - Alleged in Op. Puerto and Steak Gate
Sure thing: No tour victory without doping.
