If you would ever like to play together, let me know. I have have many songs that would sound good percussive. If you ever want to play a gig together or anything, that would ebe awsome. Message me anytime.
They are some Remo Professional bongos that I found used on eBay. FiberSkyn 3 heads. They are fiberglass (I guess, very heavy), but loud with lots of good sounds.
There actually is a bachata version of this Beatles song. I heard it once on the radio, but they stopped playing it because the song was made without permission from Capitol Records. The chorus goes "Y Yo Se Amaré". I did numerous searches on the web for this song y todavia no busco. Coñaso!
The version you are refering to is done by Jose Alberto "El Canario" in the album "Tropical Tribute to the Beatles" and its called "Mi Gran Amor Le Di". There is actually a video of this song on youtube, so you can search for it.

El bolero es un ritmo lento. El bongosero hizo un buen trabajo. He conocido percusionistas veloces pero que no tienen una buena tecnica.

I can do that for a verse or two but most people don't realize how hard it is to get into a groove and stay there. An educational video for sure.
