  • I (45) have braces for 5 months now and soon I will be having an MRI of my neck, I hope that does not disturb the image too much.

  • make another video!

  • Were your teeth in really bad shape? I have had my top braces on for 8 months. I will be getting the bottom ones on tomorrow.

With me being claustrophic, do you think I will do okay with the bottoms in too?

  • If you have made it through the top ones I think you'll also do well with the bottoms. I am still in my braces... seems like forever now! I guess I shall make a vid some time in the next month... and soon enough maybe this adventure will be over!

  • Desiree any updates on your braces....its been a while

  • when do you get them off

  • I don't know... soon, I hope!

  • I didn't know that MRI's were affected by braces. That is crazy.

I am helping to put on a YouTube Contest on Braces Videos and I think that this video would be a good entry. You could win a Nintendo Wii by entering this video.

Check out our contest at youtubedotcom/group/wildsmiles.

  • Well, MRI is short for 'Magnetic Ressonance Imaging' and the test uses a large magnet... so, yes, metals do affect it (even if not steel!)

  • do you have a problem with th eback wire coming out of the brackets witht the seld ligating braces I have then and atleast one wire comes out from the back molars each time

  • hello, yes, I must say the back wire does come out quite regularily. As the teeth shift it pulls it out (for me the left side is the one that gets moved). Guess it is just a part of the process.

  • Hi Desiree!!!!

    Bye bye from switzerland:-))
