I see the Memory stick that IS included is 8MB with some blue screen type of frames one can use for video decoration, not sure yet how that works, but I just picked this one up at the pawn shop, they didn't have it the last time I looked, It will play analog 8mm and Hi8 cassettes in analog, but you give up the front panel light

@MetallicBill Key question I still have is now that I got this model, will it play the analog tapes through the digital output jacks to a computer? Likely not, it can take analog in and record in D8, and perhaps in analog?!? Which is doubtful though

I'm shooting and uploading D8 video from my new camcorder (not long ago, this year) the DCR TRV140, DCR is the Sony model nomenclature for digital series cameras

I have one of this cameras and I love it, I record videos of weddings and special events and I had tried different formats of cameras and this is the best, but I have a problem with it when i turn it on it shows a C3122 code error in the screen do you know what it means?? please advise thank you very mucho

Any input on how to fix a Sony DCR TRV310 that took a fall, and now does not capture or playback video?? I LOVE this camera and would like to try salvaging it if at all possible. And economically viable, of course...

@AllTheWorldWillHearU It's larger but in effect, all the Sony goodies seem to be here, whereas analog it's hit and miss. You also can use Sony's crazy-good Stamina series batteries and that's the best part!

@cobraeater455 I get 15 seconds of video on a Sony Mavica, at the highest setting, intended for Floppy disks before MS, I also must add there's a comment in the video about Digital 8 cassettes, there are none, that's false, they use standard 8mm to record digitally, like DAT tapes recording audio or PCM on VHS or Beta

I have this camera and everytime I plug it into my laptop or my desktop (Windows XP) , it's like they can't read the camera..I have a USB cord for it and everything and a tape in the camera..it doesn't show up on my computer..I want to edit my footage on my laptop and put it on YouTube but it can't read my camera, soo please help,

@rrbSK8 you need a firewire cable to capture the video from the tape, you can get one at a local best buy walmart does not have it you can also find one cheaper online at amazon or ebay

Hello there. I'm having some trouble with my DCR-TRV340. When a tape is inserted I can't record, or view footage in vcr mode. A yellow eject symbol flashes in the center of the screen and "C:31:23" flashes in the top right corner. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
