Just reading all these ignorant comments makes me realize why SACD has not become the standard audio format. Very frustrating. Just give me The Beatles in high resolution whether it be SACD or BD before I die!
here's what i do to get better sound from my homemade dvd audios. First I set the dynamic range control to on, then i set the PCM to 96khz , finally i set the dolby digital to stream.
SACD is the closest sounding thing to a master analog tape. I am an engineer and I record in DSD(sacd essentially) everyday and from the tests I've made copying analog tapes to the format and comparing, they are virtually indistinguishable from the original. End of debate.
Maybe better than CD, but SACD is a whole new level...
Those LP's come from the master tapes. So, if they remaster form those tapes and make a 24bit/192kHz DVD-Audio, it would beat the vinyl... for sure...
i wonder if all tracks are digitally pre/remastered in order to remove noise, hiss and over louded voices/instruments etc,,.to turn it into clear voices/instruments.
i hope those mono tracks has been tuned into true 5,1 surround.would be incredible.
A lot of people I asked have agreed with me. The better sound is with the LP's because the sound is crisper then any other format. No CD will replace that sound because the crispness is in the LP not some new type of CD.
Rice crisper you mean. Even Neil Young, who hated CDs, not embraces DVD-A and Blu-Ray. The higher resolution discs are closer to the original recording. LPs are fine if it's a pristine copy and you have the best equipment available.
@jericho360 The SACD is really "analog sound" in a digital media, it captures all spectrum of Analog Tapes 300,000 Khz in Stereo or 5.1 Sound (better than CD & DVD) vs 44,100 Khz of Regular Audio CD´s, the tiles of SACD in market was transferred directly of master tapes to SACD without loss sound resolution.
You've done a great thing here...SACD audio is the closest thing to the original analog recordings that I have ever heard! Why America never embraced this format is beyond me.. What a bunch of Idiots... They put price and quantity over quality & fidelity..Morons....
Now that is an interesting idea. Perhaps Leonard Cohen's discography could get a real boost with an SA-CD release. I will try and put one together. Just keep an eye on my channel.

But the true sound is the original LP's. Nothing compares to that format.

Why? Can you provide me with something more than that to prove LPs are "better"? Have you listened to Super Audio CD?

Hey, how about a similar video to promote the release of Leonard Cohen on SACD?

Love Leonard Cohen but why on earth bring him up? SACD is done with I don't think it would give Cohen a boost.
