i agree the odakyu line out of shinjuku is one of the best trains for scenery while still staying in the tokyo area.
another good idea is any train heading towards kamakura. the scenery gets nicer and nicer the closer you get to yokohama. in fact any time you leave tokyo it looks nice.
the mountains are beautiful on a clear, sunny winter day like today :)
thanks for the tip! Kanagawa definitely has some beautiful scenery! It's especially nice this time of your because it usually includes a view of Fuji in the background.
