@999bloke. University staff at USC are top industry figures, whom are still active in industry. Many of them had been faculty heads at other uni's across Australia. Maybe you should get your facts right before posting. I suppose the millions of dollars the university has gained in grants over the last few months are lacking too?...USC's courses are updated frequently, something the larger universities don't have the luxury to do. To put it politely...you are a tool.

A ranking which is by its very nature bias against new universities? How about looking at UQ then, having its engineering degree certification retracted twice in 10 years, an event thats happened to no courses at usc. GTFO troll.

USC got ranked badly. I go to a distance education uni that ranked higher. lets put that in perspective. a university where the students teach themselves, got ranked higher than a uni with a full faculty. all these trivial one off examples pale in comparison to the generalized statistic that USC is shit.

look at the good universities guide Compared to other universities in QLD, seems like the students think the university is good, however graduate outcomes, resources, grants, staff qualifications, entry rquirements are lacking. Students of other universities are not as happy, however their outcomes are better. Maybe because other universities are teaching the hard content USC isnt willing too. short term pain for long term gain at other uni's

P.S. in the same survey that gave USC 5 stars for "good teaching", it also gave them 1 star for research grants, research intensity, toughness to get in, cultural diversity, success in getting a job, graduate salary and positive graduate outcomes.
