  • @TackzyFire A spray on artist sealant.

  • how long before i can paint it?

  • @wolschlag15 watch until it dries . Usually overnight.

  • Can Paper Mache be spray painted and if so, can it hold it?

  • @supersentai4life yes, and yes

  • @epicfantasy Thank you. I'm starting on something this weekend. This helped out a lot.

  • @epicfantasy So for more durable paper mache you substitute one of the cups of water with a cup if white glue and then do you mix it to the paper mache recipe?

  • thanks, this was very helpful! great video. :)

  • do u soak the whole strip of newspaper or do u soak one side of the paper

  • @MarshmallowKeyblade8 Soak the whole strip both sides.

  • Sorry do not speak English, the translation is from Google tools, I am a teacher of crafts:

This technique is called cartapesta or paper bonding, with the largest number of layers obtained better resistance, it is advisable to add to the paste (flour water) a little chalk.

It is different or Paper Mache Paper Crushed (crushed) to make the paper pulp, which mixed with flour, chalk powder and oil Flax providing excellent as modeling dough drying clay but reaches a lightweight rigidity enduring.

  • so you can eat paper mache o_O technicly?? or w.e

  • thumbs up if your for making a mau5 head

  • How strong will the paper hold together? Long story short, we are gluing cookies on the outside of what we make for a prank.

  • @sfdff39 very strong. Add a little white glue to the mix and even stronger.

  • Extremely Helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @epicfantasy Can I use white glue to strengthen the paper mache mixture?

  • @300spartanswin Yes, half white glue and half water works very well.

  • Thanks you helped me do my science proyect!!!

  • @shinnylopunny24 Good luck! Hope you get an A+

  • how long doe sit take to dry?

  • @BuzzCola09 it takes overnight but if you use a fan or hair dryer it will be dry in an hour.

  • @BuzzCola09 overnight, but if you put a fan on it then only an hour.

  • @epicfantasy thank you it worked real well

  • What kind of flour did u use?

  • @angelWinxs12 use plain white unbleached flour.

  • What kind of flour did u use

  • I used this to make my Zelda sword stronger...

  • What I mean is its super strong I think I just need to add glue to get the strenth I want thanks anyways :)

  • Will it set like concret? That's the strenth I'm looking for

  • @kitsunelover11577 no, its stronng but not that strong.

  • @epicfantasy Is it a good strength for use as a packaging material?

  • ddoes it matter what flour i can use (like self raising)

  • @bazoful Iam not sure about this. Self raising probably doesn't work.

  • If you add cinnamon it won't smell as bad -.-

  • paper** Kitchen**

  • Can i use tissue paoer ir jitchen tissue instead?

  • @DJNikksterz probably not. It is too flimsy. It will fall apart.

  • @DJNikksterz you could use it on the outside as your last surface if yo uare looking for a colorful decoupage look

  • @DJNikksterz and if so, then use elmers glue, and water to ensure clear drying - or experiment with the flour on a test piece

  • No connection. Retry

  • i tried it and it didn't work

  • thank you

  • ooooo i didnt use any salt thats y it turnd to doe

  • ball sack pinata

  • Wow, it's that easy. Cool

  • Is it true that if you use it with flour it will mold after time? Isn't it better to just use water and glue?

  • @questionsleadtotruth It can mold yes. Adding salt to the mixture dissuades mold growth.

  • Now my geography teacher won't kill me :)

  • Sweet. Thanks

  • is this stronger than the glue mixture???

  • @10footballbeast The glue mixture is stronger and more flexible.

  • @epicfantasy if you can help me asap! thatll be very nice... im making a deadmau5 head for halloween! witch i need to papper mache a beach ball.... for the head!

anyways everyone says use (( PVA Glue )) with water and flour, but i need to save money and find a easy strong recipe!

    Would this work!?

  • would u sugest blowing drying it dry if your in a hurry or would that be a really bad thing to do????

  • @cooldood42 Blow drying it works really well. Use the cold air not the hot air. Or a plain fan works well too.

  • plss tell me why we need salt??

  • @syafizzaq it prohibits mold from growing on the project.

  • @syafizzaq is stop greening plants growing into it

  • @syafizzaq it stops the paste from molding if you live somewhere where there is alot of humidity

  • @syafizzaq so it wont mold

  • @syafizzaq I think salt will prevent it from catching mold later on when it'll be drying

  • @syafizzaq It helps prevent molding while the mache dries.

  • @syafizzaq the salt prevents molding

  • @syafizzaq stops it going mouldy

  • @syafizzaq It keeps the paper from molding and insects from deciding that it will make a tasty lunch

  • cool

  • ummm.... i thought it should be good to paper mache if you just used elmers glue and water. it's cheap, but would it work?

  • @pokethebirdness yes, it will work.

  • Oooooooo!

  • THANK YOU ! :)

  • Hey epic i have a quick question. i just used your formula but my mache has small mold spots. what can i do?

  • @TheStephanoSun wow. how long has it been? Mold doesn't usually form fast. Been months? Painting it should correct the problem.

  • @epicfantasy just 3 days like little black spots

  • @TheStephanoSun wow, humid environment? Paint it!

  • @TheStephanoSun Try using a little more salt in the recipie

  • @TheStephanoSun

wikipedia entry says adding clove oil to the goop inhibits mold growth.

  • i didnt use salt in mine. It didnt hold its form when i used salt. Thank you for the recipe though!! :) its going to be used frequently!!

  • umm yeah used it once and mold started to grow on this now i just use white glue with a tad of water

  • I think it is flour though that forms bacteria and mold, not paper itself so much. Maybe using white glue diluted with water instead of flour mixture would work well?

  • I'm going to make a sandwhich when I come back I better have 10 likes

  • gaara gourd

  • Thanks! You helped me with my history project! :)

  • at 1:54 you hear FAP! FAP ! FAP ! XD lolol

  • thanks for this tutorial....it helps to have a go at making things....makes me happy....I am responding with my little vid in which I have made a papier mache..."little match girl" still unfinished but it is great fun.

  • i have a question, i am trying to make a paper mache couch . And the climate here is humid. so, if i make the paste out of flour, i am worried that fungus might grow on it and it may attract ants or flies.

  • @ishita2288 You should add 1 tablespoon of salt to the paper mache mix. This will deter fungus growth.

  • Hi i have used your formula and made a tank out of ciggaret boxes i used table sea salt so can u tell me if that is a problem ??? and i would like to ask is using A4 Printer paper wrong AND MY TANK HAS DRIED BUT ITS A TINY BIT WET AND IT HAS TINY BITS OF FLOWER STUCK TO IT please reply to me HELP - Serg37TDS

  • @Serg37TDS The sea salt should be quite ok. Put a fan on it to finish the drying. It should be ok. Be sure to paint it . THat will help deter mold growth. the printer paper should be ok.

  • @epicfantasy ok it has dried and it is fine to me but it has bits of flower stuck to it still if i paint it will it still be visible ???

  • @epicfantasy And i would like to say when i have diped the paper and i run it along my fingers is it supposed to have NOTHING on it and shall i make a vid responce to show you it because im not quiet shure

  • @ishita2288 Also, give it a couple of coats of paint (a light color is best because molds and fungi grow in dark areas), and then put a few layers of laquer on it to seal it. That sucker will be fungus free. Good luck!

  • i have to make a mitochondria for biology's project. i'm kind of out of idea. anyone can help? thanks.. :))

  • @ZMBIFY 2

  • Quit the damn gimmicks and snort the coke already!

  • Will this attract ants?

  • i thought u use a balloon and do wat he said but use 1 cup of flower

  • What flower did you use i cant quite hear if you said it

  • @WhiteKnightGaming Just a plain white unbleached flour.

  • @WhiteKnightGaming he said 2 just use flower

  • @WhiteKnightGaming white flower works best. Wheat flower doesn't make it that smoothe

  • i tried 2 cups flour and 2 cups water but it was too thick. so i use 1 part flour and 2 parts water. it was much better.

  • Thanks for the helpful help!

  • um do i have to use paper mache

  • @legonakonow um no

  • its not gluten free.lol

  • @dumasstimes3 Glue and water is better. More durable

  • @Caprice2006jr i am not sure, probably

  • how many cups of flour

  • im trying to make a paper mache cyclops like in sinbad, would that be posible?

  • @battlechimp94 yes, thats a great idea. It would work. Just make the whole thing with cardboard framework first. then cover it and do the fine detail with paper mache.

  • @epicfantasy could u help me out to see how it would work, like make a video

  • you can also mix PVA glue and water together and that should form that type off consistence too.
