Is it possible to control units or squadrons during battle? Is it possible to at least control your flagship/hero? Does the flagship/hero have special combat skills? During battle is it possible to arrange your units in different positions? Are positions defined only by x and y axes, or is there a z axis as well? How is the outcome of the battle determined (just numbers, or numbers and luck, or tactics)? By the way, I loved the graphics. They remind me of DotA (seabattle mod).

No , not control. Hero can cast magic = orange is for attack plus, blue is for defense plus , but not all the time.

Not exactly, the normal ships are not edit able. The only ships you can add weapons to is flagships (the two big ones).
