OK, but the facts remains that a) this video contains not samba rhythms but maracatu, and b) Samba Squad isn't in this video at all. So IMHO it's misleading to tag that way. People often confuse Samba Elegua (us) with Samba Squad based just on the name so I am suggesting changing the tags. The name of the group in this video is Maracatu Nunca Antes and it no longer exists as this group, though many of the performers in this video play in the other, more newly formed Maracatu groups in Toronto.
Hi, thanks for the video! This isn't samba but it's a related form of Afro-Brazilian cultural manifestation. The style of percussion and song is called Maracatu. Also this isn't Samba Squad, that's not a generic term but in fact the name of another Toronto percussion group. Can you please re-tag the video, take out "samba squad" and add in "maracatu"? Thanks!
@sambaelegua i know that Samba Squad is another group in TO. i've played with them before. however i only added these tags to get my video more recognizeable. so i will not be removing any tags, but thanks for informing me on maracatu!
