Believe is, I think, something that some will love and some will hate because it's done with the Cirque du Soleil and so it's got their mark on it. It's not outright magic, it's got dance and 'artistic impression' (or whatever you want to call stuff that's just downright weird!) as well. Personally, I loved it, but I like Criss Angel and I love the Cirque.

In fact I cannot think of anything he's done that he can call his own (ex. Blaine's physical feats; Copperfield's saw, even Burton's doves). The only thing that I would ascribe to Chris as a signature is obvious camera tricks and too many stooges.

I've just got back from vegas and went to see Lance at his theatre and without a doubt you are correct...his show must be seen live..it's amazing!Some guys are called magicians but rely on camera tricks while Burton is ol'school and to me that's entertaining more than illusion by camera..the man is a master.

The illusion of being run over by something heavy is the same, in fact they did it for real back in the 1900's only with a plank to cover you (as a strongman stunt).
