its a travel. just like if you were to be dribbling and pick the ball up, you then are only able to take 1 step, with your other foot being the pivot. same rule applies here, kobe after the one bounce picked the ball up and moved both feet.

@thomasstout25 you're right but heres the problem with your argument, there was no jump stop. if you consider catching the ball and gathering yourself a jump stop maybe you need to go learn basketball. he jumped a little to get the ball, gathered his self, took 1 bounce with both feet planted, which allows him to take the 2 steps. there is no pivot foot established in this play
