yea, it's harder to get to 220 km/h then to maintain that speed. also mine eats about 10 L doing 120 km/h, but when it gets to 140 km/h it drops to 6,5L or so.
was this downhill? because the computer says it eats bellow 10 L/km (poor video quality) at 4000 RPM. I drove mine today on a straight and it was eating 12 L/km at 190 km/h, 3,500 RPM!
È una Golf 16V TDI 140 CV del 2005 con 40.000 km 100% originale. No chip tuning. Fino 180 km/h accellera abbastanza velocemente ma per raggiungere 230 km/h ci mette una vita. Era in autostrada in germania.
non sembra tanto una vita,magari fra un pò si è sciolta di più e va meglio.....ma è col dsg?il dsg forse toglie un pò di punta,ma è meglio sulla ripresa

i have a 2.0 tdi too, but its chipped to 165 hp. on speedo it does about 235 kmh, the navi says this are real 221 kmh.
the difference between the speedo and real speed is big at this car...

No, it wasnt downhill, with full gas at 225 km/h at 4000 RPM, the computer says 14L !

It's a Golf 2.0 TDI 140 CV, year 2005 with 40,000 km 100% original engine. No chip tuning.
Till 180 km/h it accelerates fairly quickly but to reach 230 km/h it needs long long time. It was on the highway in Germany. (140 Mi/h = 225 Km/h)
