Hey everybody, I reached puberty when this came out, and I stayed erect ever since, thanks to super-groups like this. I've been in rock trains locomotive ever since, blazing forward...
Dude, you don't believe it, somehow I had the same thoughts during the song! They are really something similar! They even have similar names. Very amazing.
oh and 1 more thing, there is no point in trying to trump cream because they had a higher quality output in a shorter time than the rolling stones. The very few good songs they actually wrote (and I say few) were far better received than cream's music.
I bet all of them would have loved to write the odd stones song.
I could name you 3 stones songs that will probably last forever as great pop songs Cant think of any cream ones!!
@Goergebenson I agree, although for me, Eric Clapton was a little more epic than, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix, and all of them were awesome. I mean, look at Claptons' "Layla"
Respond to this video... I would have to graciously disagree with your comment. I think out of the three mentioned, page was the far superior and focused musician. Clapton was ok at waffle with the very very occasional good tune.
I dont really care for either three as I have never paid them much mind. From what I know about them though i have been able to make this destinction quite easily.
I see w have a lot of teary eyed oldies pinning for their 60 rock groups.
1. there was plenty of shit music in the 60's
2. theres plenty of shit music now.
3. It is ignorant to say that musicians were better then or music was 'richer'.
4. it is ignorant to say music today is not as good in regards to musical quality.
I studied jazz so comments bellow like "Come up to the musical standards set in the 60's" is total rubbish. Music was dumbed down in the 60's. Ever heard of Django Reinhardt?
COME ON MAN.THE 60'S SUCKED IN MASS ...ONLT HANDFULLS WERE COOL THE VOCAL MAJORITY WERE SHITING OUT MORALS SODDERED TO JUDGMENTS THAT OUTLAWED HERBS,FUCKING SAVE FOR PROCREATION AND POOR BASTDARDS WENT TO NAM TO DIE. HAVE I FORGOTTEN ANYTHING...OH YEA BLACKS COULD NOT SIT WITH WHITES...DREW
@2miland2 Right on, Hippie-Brother! If only there were more cool '60's people in charge now, we could have MORE drugs, MORE casual fucking, and LESS willingness to stand up to genocidal maniacs throughout the world. Oh, yeah - feel free to drop in to the wrong neighborhood after dark in Anytown, USA and see how the diversity thing is working out. Reality - the other white meat. Try it.
@booifojoe way to go, herbert, you don't get it just like the pigs in the 60's didn't get it. glad to see you haven't evolved at all, just another pig with no brains and no soul. The dopiest hippie on the planet outshines you on their worst day. Nice going herbert doucehbag. epic fail! peace and love.
@dougalmac54 Hey , Wavy Gravy, who invited you to this conversation? But as long as you're here... the only thing the "pigs" got wrong in the '60's is that they didn't cave your THC soaked brain in at Kent State when they had the chance. You "Boomers" (aka: The Worst Generation) can't go away fast enough - self-absorbed, hypocrites hiding behind the skirt of freedom that you're unwilling to pay for. Go back to reading your Rolling Stone and get a haircut - seriously, you look ridiculous.
In a discussion with my fellow classmate i had said that pop artist do not last and she responded by saying they are going to last so i said do you know the Bee Gees? and she said so i got up and said
Kiddos, you parents had not yet reached puberty when this came out. I understand your sarcasms but you will always be in the rock train caboose. Don’t’ be bitter and jealous. Just stay cool and enjoy it. That’s the way we started it in the 60s…
@foudeballe You are so right! What might be considered "pop" music in 1968 was way cooler than today's stuff. Maybe the "new" generation needs to compare The Lemon Pipers, Ohio Express or the 1910 Fruitgum Co. etc to Justin Beiber and the junk put out today. No doubt that 1960's bubble gum beats todays pop. Cream is certainly in a different catagory. I hope this generation comes to appreciate the music of the 1960's.
@cavekiller480 He did a fantastic variation which was spontaneously improvised. Perfect. Always great, but never the same. He never sang a song the same way twice. Wondeful!
@thebassplayer69 mmmmmm thats debatable. Cream is no longer around. Bands like Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Rolling Stones have been around much longer than Cream. Cream was a great band....but not the greatest.
@theguitarguymike Quite true. However there were no bands that were ever better before or since them. They are at the very top of the ladder of rock legends
@111WWEEBB mmmm again i have to disagree...cream is the shit...if it were up to me thats all that would be played on the radios....but other bands such as Rolling Stones are far more superior than cream. Although if it were just Clapton by him self...then thats a different story ;)
@theguitarguymike Not to start arguments but how are the Stones superior? Cream was only a 3 year stint and didn't release much material but they had the 3 best musicians in the world that the Stones couldn't measure up to except for Jagger having a better voice than Bruce. Stones have a lot more hits because they have been out there for decades. Had Cream been around for as long then they could've been the best selling group ever pretty much given how many albums they sold only from 66-68.
@111WWEEBB Haha but the EVERYONE knows who the stones are...thats why...and i think this is cool tho how instead of arguing whos better Beiber or Cyrus...were arguing about the Rolling Stones and C.R.E.A.M....im only 14 and this is the greatest music ever...just cool to know other people besides me have a passion for music like this!
@theguitarguymike Good Lad! Now take what you've learned and run with it! I've been waiting so long-for this generation to come up to the musical standards set in the 60's. Could you be one of the ones to do it? Bieber, Gaga, Spears, Aguilera, are all shit and not worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as supergroups like Cream. Sorry kids, but that's where it's at.
@dougalmac54 Hell ya im gonna run with it. Im gonna make music that i love. im not gonna follow. and i hate all these groups...u cant call them bands..who use fake instruments. such as a fake drum kit. that pisses me off!! We need to bring bands/ people back like C.R.E.A.M. and Jimi Hendrix, and The Who and The Stones!!
@111WWEEBB The Stones were good ... "Satanic .." being their best. They did suck in the 70's. Glad Cream only put out a few very high quality Lp's vs. the potential to bow down to a record company and possibly suck in the 70's as well. Selling lots of records does not make mean the music is good. Certainly both were great ... Cream had a short ride but it was fantastic. Some of the best, most influential records of the era.

@hvymetaltaz Satanic Majesty's Request a "great" Stones album? BS! "Begger's Banquet" blew that piece of crap out of the water. Thank God Brian Jones convinced the Stones to go back to their blues roots instead of trying to match Sgt. Pepper's and The Beatles, which is the lame attempt they made on "Satanic MR." Cream only put out "a few" good albums? Name ONE that didn't-or doesn't stand up? Were you actaully alive in the 60's?
@dougalmac54 Read what I wrote again ....I think you missed the point. Cream was Cream for only a few years and ALL the music they produced was great! The Stones have been around nearly 50 years and have made some very forgetable records. The point was better to make a handful of superb records in a short period of time vs. alot of records, like the Stones, many of which are poor.

Clapton although a good guitarist has little respect from real musicians if you compare him to say any jazz player.
Clapton was good but he wasnt great. There were better more diverse and interesting players like Page and even Hendrix.
Claptons music is ok but it is not better than what we have today.
Have you heard of Uffe Steen?
My point is, its all bull, just enjoy the music.
P.s im listerning to cream for the first time and im not blown away!!!

do you Remember when you could watch a video without having to sit through a commercial?
Remember when music videos were uploaded by users and not VEVO
Remember when all the info was to the right of the video?
Remember you could rate a video 1-5 stars?
Remember the famous yellow subscribe button?
Remember when the users controlled the site and now corporations?
Post this in every video and lets start a youtube revolution!
