A depressive episode is a time period in which an individual experiences legitimate feelings of worthlessness, overwhelming sadness, hopelessness, fatigue, etc. If left untreated, it can have potentially devastating consequences, including death by suicide.

@kapitiqueen Depression can come in cycles-hence the term depressive EPISODE. there are times where one can be perfectly normal and functioning, and snap, just like that the are in the midst of a major depressive episode where they experience decreased functioning.

I swear so many people are disgustingly misinformed and insensitive to others. Please, don't ever become a service worker.
