  • @LotBlind I was wondering the same thing. Very good rendition, but that little extra beat throws it off just a little.

  • AMAZING!!!! Even if your fingers were tired it's still really really good .

  • hahahaha thats awesome

  • that looks super difficult!!! but awesome cover.....check out mine if you will

  • rushed a little bit in the beginning but other wise good

  • Sweet!

  • That's really impressive. Nice job.

  • Freakin' brilliant!!

    :~)

  • sweeeet!!

  • Ok. Where is the other guitarist? In the shower?

  • Its amazing how you gave the illusion that the bass and melody were going at the same time!

  • wow

  • Cute and beautiful! :D

  • SWEET!

  • I'm jelly.

  • Not bad

  • Awesome job! You really captured the energy required to make the song really flow. Thumbs up!

  • best song ever

  • Tabs??!!!

  • holy shit! wtf! mind! fucking! blown!

  • Great job! Check out our video response, posted above, for a cool duet version.

  • I'm thinking that a man with hands coordinated enough to play Linus and Lucy on acoustic guitar is the same man I'll ask, "How did you do that?"....lol

The bathroom acoustics shouldn't be overlooked here!...lol

Great job and I haven't seen anyone to compare to your acoustic rendition.

Thumbs up...all around, I'm counting my big toes, too!

    strum on, my friend.

  • Well done.

  • could you PLEASE tab this???? :D

  • how long do u train this song ?

  • Guess what? I am learning guitar soon! I will learn Linus And Lucy and post it!!

  • 98NinjaMexican the 4 original characters were Charlie Brown, Shermy, Patty, & Snoopy

  • man, you rule! Ever have a question about Peanuts? I know everything there is to know ! I check my comments every evening I just joined Youtube December 26, 2010

  • @officialpeanuts who were the original 4 characters in the comic strips in 1950

  • AMAZINGGGGG (:

  • Remarkable, Sir. Thank you.

  • whoa, tthats amazing.

    i wish i could do that!:D

  • NICE! One of my favorites. Thanks for posting. I'm smiling extra hard right now! :-D

  • fantastic

  • Dude, That's AWESOME!!!!

  • your notes are spot on. one timing glitch (consistant) on the break, but perfect notation. excellent job.

  • I wish I had your fingers.

  • Fuckin Insane. Period.

  • Very inpressive....

  • how the HELL do you do that is my question AWESOME vid btw

  • Awsome

  • sounds like a banjo

  • cool....

  • amazing just amazing

  • duuuuuuuuuude!!! this is awesome!

  • is that a rickenbacker? the inlays....never mind. great job!

  • omg thats so cool!

  • you seem tense though....relax

  • wow...

  • i can tell his face is super concentrated lol.

  • Nice how you keep the bass part going during the melody line. That fast part is just too much of a jump on the guitar. I can never get that right.

  • @guitarconasor I play in open D tuning. Check it out

  • wwoooooww that was AWESOME!!

  • PARABENS!

  • very nice.

  • Absolutely fabulous Two thumbs-up :-) LM

  • good but i prefer it on the piano it sounds to country on the guitar

  • This is a very nice version of the song, do you have the tabs for it by any chance? They would be much appreciated, as this is a very beautiful piece. Thanks

  • sounds pretty good dude.

  • Rock On...Bathroom recording is the shiznit! LOL!

  • WOW! That was kick ass!

the only thing that bothers me are the IDIOTS that gave this awesome video a thumbs down. I suspect jealousy.

  • Sukoi!

  • that was great!!

  • Really good!! I'm impressed you can do the lower part as well as the melody, I usually just play the melody and then tell people, 'well, you get the idea'. You know, there's a bridge that sounds really tough. Dave Matthews plays a pretty good version.

I always thought it was a jazz song adopted to the Peanuts cartoons, but apparently it was written for the show?

So it's real title is 'Linus And Lucy'?

  • Nicely done!

  • looks very tricky

  • Wow...that sounds difficult (but I'm also not very good...) Nice job!

  • awesome

  • Awesome redition. Thumbs up. Can I have the tabs.

  • tight and cool

  • Beautifully done! A very pleasing adaptation.

  • Truly the best rendition on a guitar I've ever seen. Just beautiful! I've always liked Linus and Lucy but have a new fondness for it now that I've seen it played so well on guitar. I'm rushing out tomorrow and buy me a capo! (I've always played it in the same key without one which made it almost impossible to play "cleanly.")

Thanks for sharing and making me feel like an idiot for not using a capo! lol

Keep up the fine finger-picking as you have amazing talent!

  • string buzz who gives a shit that was awesome

  • Excellent Charlie Borwn. Song just makes you feel good.

I don't care what anybody says, taking apart the thumb and fingers on the right hand is very challenging. Seems I always want to pluck them together...

Anyway, looked like dropped D on the bottom 3 strings. What tuning are you using on the top three? I would like to improve the version I am learning.

    Keep it up!

  • Impressive

  • did you chart this? if so send me the sheet music. great job at transcribing!

  • how do you learn these songs??? very impressive!!!!!!!

  • 1. learn it on piano

    2. convert music

    3. practice

  • @mycahman

    1. Make your own arrangement.

    2. Make a video of it.

    3. Let us all see it.

  • how did you manage to play two diffrent tunes on one guitar at the same time? I thought that was only possible on a piano

  • Fingerstyle guitarists can play rythm and melodie at the same time. Not as complicated as you might think.

  • this is very beautiful but.....

  • Man you're really good and that piece just rocks! Thanks for performing it!

  • wow, that was awesome!

  • yayyy awesome :D

  • it was ok!!! post...

  • Dude, you rock. My sister and I have a thing for this song since we were kids. My brother-in-law calls them a bunch of orphans....lolol.

    Excellent rendition.

  • any chance you might provide tabs for this arrangement? this is really excellent, by the way.

  • TRHIS IS KOOL CUZ at the begginging its sounds more like a banjo than guitar then you get the druft of it

  • great job

  • OMG! you're really good! thank you for taking the time to learn my favorite Peanuts song!

  • Nice!!! OK, this makes me want to get back on my guitar this winter...

  • I love this video... So much so that I learned how to play it and posted it as a video response to this one... Thanks for the inspiration mtreed!! :)

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

  • Clean fingers. Awesome job! :)

  • Fantastic man!

  • Lol, at first I was like, "Acoustic Charlie Brown??? How in the hell is he going to play both melodies?!"

Just stick an "L" on my forehead, lol. Great cover.

  • OH

    MY

    CHRIST.

    AMAZING

  • is that a duet or solo?

  • good good good!

  • Thats good! :]

  • I had my doubts at first, but that was so awesome.

  • Agreed!, is there any chance to get the tab?

    Good Melody, Good Music.

  • Wow that's cool, I didn't know that a guitar can be used to play two simultaneous melodies, like you did with the bass notes and the upper melodic notes in this one. Shows how much I know about guitar. ;D

  • haha nice "studio" :]

  • burnin shit that was coool!!

  • effin sweet!

  • SMOKIN!

  • iTunes that shit

  • :-O

  • Totally badass

  • any chance of posting the tab?

  • oh crap that was AMAZING

  • Outstanding!

  • Oh my goodness! This was great! Is this your own arrangement or is this the arrangement used by Andrew York on his album Perfect Sky? I've wanted an arrangement of that for so long.

  • budy you are my idol, I group whith this song on my ears old my chilhood

  • wow that's so awesome

  • where i cant obtain the tabalture

  • WOW! awesome!!! i love this song and when i saw it on the guitar....5 stars!!! :D keep up the good work :) i liked it a lot

  • Any chance to find the tabs you used? It really sounds awesome! :D

  • whats that black thing on ur guitar.

  • Thats a capo. It makes all of the strings higher to the fret that it is on.

  • Thanks

  • string dampener.

  • lol its not a string dampener.

    Its called a capo.

It acts like a bar like in power chords.

  • string dampener? its a cell phone holder

  • a capo? n00b

  • String buzz? No excuses for a damn good video! It happens... Great Job!!!

  • sweet

  • Very impressive. Don't anyone think that this simple sounding song is easy to play. Vince Guaraldi wrote and played this on the piano, with a jazz background, and all his chords are 4 note chords. This transposition, in D tuning no less is an awesome task. Thank you for posting this and great performance!

  • Nice.

  • your an idiot

  • you are right, he is an idoit.

  • sweet

  • THis is really good!!!!

  • its ok

  • dude!

wana send me the tabs! please.

  • very nice. next time try playing without using The Force. lol

  • Nice arrangement! Looks like a lot of fun to play too! -Derek

  • Nice job too! *****

  • good job man

  • thats excelent :D you should be very proud that you can manage to do something that complicated. you have real talent

  • I can play this on Piano and its hard enough getting both my hands to work out the beat. This must be crazy having only one hand do it on a guitar. Kudos!

  • Where can I get the notes for this song?

  • do the snoopy dance

  • REALLY REALLY COOL :-]

  • It;s like the Sonic Youth version.

  • wow

  • Check out RYAN FORRESTER play his unique version of "Linus and Lucy"...Amazing!

  • piano hardness(thiss song) 8/10 on guitar 11/10 im guessin good job ^_^

  • Simply perfect. Flawless.

  • dude, that was awesome

  • awesome

  • Woo!

  • during the barre chords near the end, try just once on the open chord, it will flow more naturally that way (the rest of the song is great)

    Keep up the good work!

  • awesome....now make tabs for it or an instructional video, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!! lol sorry, ive been wantin to learn this song on the piano, but im stil learning....but i can play guitar too so i'll just go for this haha, and this would be an awesome song to show off too, lol

  • awesome (:

  • video no longer available?

bullllllll .. I was so excited to see this!

  • DADGBd with capo in 6th

  • wow, .. my morning really wasn't starting off so great today, until I heard this. Thanks. BTW..What tuning are you using?

  • It's drop D, I know I'm not the author but when he goes into the little bridge part with the "duh DU DU DU DA!" (if that helps, haha), he's just barring the chord, which means it's drop D.

  • not quite, but close: its D A D F# B E

  • mad props

  • COOL

  • I have Andrew York's unpublished version of this. It sounds good, why didn't you play the whole thing?

  • absolutely lovely!

  • this was very nice made my day...thank you for posting!

  • That is amazing it looks so hard grat

  • GREAT!

  • where can i get the music for this?

  • Amazing

  • NICE!
