@D0rki3s Those 2 types are actually the same. The sketch markers are just a little bit longer and more expensive. ^^ But the colors and brushes are exactly the same.

I suggest people should get Prismacolor markers. They're about half the price of Copics. They work very good but they don't seem to blend as well as Copics but their much cheaper, and will make you happy(: I spent almost all my Christmas money on prisma markers ^^; A little over $100 for the set of 24 and the set of 12. These are easier to afford than Copics... but I still want Copics D:

I have copics but I'm having some trouble with the blending when it comes to shading. Did you start this video with the basic skin color still wet, or was it dry when you began to add the darker skin shade? Guides I've found say I need to saturate the colors to shade them, but that doesn't work for me, the shading comes out too hard in contrast with the base skin color, not at all like how your shading looks here

@VRHyoumaru Normally the color already dried when I continue with the next skin shade. But right after finishing it, I use the basic skin color again and brush one more layer of color on the whole face as you can see in 1:40. I do the same with further skin shades. Then the transitions become more fluent and I use plain copy paper. Although it blurrs the colors a little bit, it's easier to do color transitions, but you have to be careful with the marker's brush. ^^

@foreverkhin In the united states they range from 5-9$ each. Or you can buy a set of 12 of them, but i'd buy them separately. In most stores its cheaper that way, and I don't really like the colours they give you in the sets.

I've only recently heard of Copic markers but I'm not really sure I understand how you did that. Are the ones you used in the video designed for layering on top of other markers like highlighters? Is there a different type used for the base coloring?

@Delockony0kkp No, I used Copic markers for the base coloring, too. I just didn't film it because it's not that important how I fill the whole face with color. : ) But I don't use any other markers for the coloring!

Shiita, do you always get those spots on your hands from the markers too? Like, ink on your fingers? It really annoys me. xD That's probably because I hold the marker with a finger on the grey area, really close to the nip. Ghrgmf..
