  • Perfect band, doing a perfect rendition of one of their perfect songs.

    ...

and Nels Fucking Cline... Holy mackerel...

  • There is one word missing. Here it is: Fuck!

  • i'm sorry but 1:32 scared the hell out of me

  • Nel Cline is kickass ! 2 genius combine the great wilco.

  • Nels Cline makes me feel rather warm

  • This version is about a million times better than the studio version with that goddamn chaotic lack of resolution and tons of feedback overdubs...

Also, Nels Cline is a guitar god.

  • Man... the solo starting at 3:44

    Je-sus Christ.

  • This is my favorite song ever written.

I need to hear it live. I've seen them 4 times and they still haven't played it. Maybe they will on friday.

  • Jesus.

I've seen them live. Listened to bunch of live clips of Nels Cline. Never ceased to be blown away.

I mean Jesus. How to you get a guitar to do that?

  • Perfect

  • I'm sorry, I have remained without words after the song

  • as a drummer, i can safely say glenn kotche is one of the most talented track/band drummers out there. his kit is very nice aswell, especially those zildjian cymbals, they are soft and rich but still really punchy.

and that guitar solo was pretty sick!

  • jprigby91, Thumbs up!

As a player of the bass, piano, guitar, and drums, I agree with everything you wrote.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @jprigby91 By far my friend he's played with the likes of Mo Tucker from the Velvet Underground. Jeff has surrounded himself with the best 4sure...

  • @jprigby91 i have always admired glenn and his talents. he definitely knows how to play with a band and HE'S SO DAMN GOOD! everything in his kit sounds perfectly awesome.

and nels cline is a whole different story...

  • @jprigby91 Kotche is possibly the most well-rounded percussionist alive...he's a true composer, and very inventive and works with essentially a simple jazz set-up. Beyond that the crotales in this song, and his use of inventive noise makers, often homemade, shows his subtle tendencies are what drumming is. Ever present, ever under the surface, and ever the real driving force of any song.

  • The guitar solo on the "Kicking Television" version of this is pure magic! I love watching this band perform live!

  • @NorthWriter absolutely agree. stunning.

  • Nels reminds me of Neil...Young that is

  • check their live album, it's pure awesome

  • totally agree. Probably one of the best live bands out there nowadays...

  • this is the concert that made me a wilco addict and a nels cline fanatic. after i saw this concert i went out and bought yankee hotel foxtrot, although i love the album, wilco just doesn't seem complete without nels...awesome vid!
