  • okay, i have to add my two cents, one, they are chanting "nou pa menm kon misè" which means "you don't know a thing about hard times" it is directed to the UN with the guns in their hands. Two, the presence of guns there only reinforces the idea that intimidation is control. The chant is key. They are all human . It's easy for the UN to look down on and treat the haitians the way they do, because they are not starving, or without shelter, or dirt poor in a country that can't help them....

  • when i see this video i was cry

  • Shit,,,haiti is like a prison,,,and the UN is the jailkeeper,,,and DR the promise land,,

  • I was there. Yes-- the guns are needed. Crowds easily get out of hand and people could be crushed. Katiatomsk is right.

  • Hungry people often riot. Guns are needed to keep the peace and get the food to people. Isn't that the goal, food to people. But people who are hungry often riot and destroy food. The guns help them get the food.

History proves the need for guns while handing out food to hungry people.

  • why all those guns, why don't they go and fuck themselves?they need food not fucking guns, pirates, leave them the fuck alone

  • lol of course they need guns, what do you think is going to happen if you go out there unarmed and hand out a bunch of free supplies to hungry desperate people who would do anything for enough food to feed their family? people will tend to get greedy and take all they can and also sell what they can.

  • is the machine gun necessary? they chanting we going to eat,we going to eat
