  • Totally agree with all your points there, and indeed the price of new release games are dropping to silly prices within the first month usually. After 2 months or so they are rock bottom. I mean, stuff like Rage is £10 everywhere for the anarchy edition!

  • @ZombiEEEEEz Thanks Dude, exactly it makes you not want to buy any games on day one. I'm seriously thinking of not buying any new games untill dec 2012/jan 2013 but just don't know if I can actually wait that long lol.

  • I finished uncharted 3 a day ago i have to say it was a superb game and so far has only had one patch, this game must be better quality tested than most .The worst part is i have never played 1 and 2 so will now have to get them the main game seems to have been the priority with this one took me 12 hours to complete an i enjoyed it even the puzzles .

  • @paulb4uk Nice one Paul, yep seems Naughty Dog really do care about the quality of their games. You'll love the 1st two games also dude, would be good to hear which is your fave when you have finished them :)

  • yo pete, i agree 100% with you here, im getting a bit tired with short games, bullying dodgy companies trying to beg and almost steal every penny we have with dlc, and just crappy rehashed games, i agree theres only the odd one id play again, did u hear ea are charging 60 quid for a car dlc in a need for speed world it's madness and unless people stop paying digital stuff it's only gona get worse :(

  • @johnwilliamson47 £60? seriously? lol who the hell is gonna buy that? That's just crazy :)

  • Great response & great points well made Pete. Updates & installs are the bane of a modern gamers life they are just ridiculous. As for patches this really pisses me off, i think the worse example for me was Gran Turismo 5 how many years did that get delayed then it still wasnt complete, i moaned then people was like yeah but they'll patch it later, now to me thats like buying a car you getting everything but the wheels & the seller saying we'll send the wheels for it later.. no i want it now!

  • @shockz16 Thanks Adam, lol so true mate, unfortunately I think a lot of people have come to accept that's how it is now. They have become accustomed to unfinished games which will be patched at a later date instead of moaning about it which is the right response :)

  • I really dislike digital distribution too. New games on old consoles will (unfortunately) never going to happen.

  • @RetroBob2084 Too True Bob, real shame though as would be great to get some new titles for the classics consoles :)

  • and also who made rules for gaming digital or not its about fun there are no rules on how a game is supposed to be played or made or n e thing its a blank slate its art

  • @gearsofwill9 I agree and it's freedom of choice, I just have no interest in digital only gaming or even just digital downloads as they are these days. I like to own the game in a disc or cart format. I use own in a loose sense though as according to MS and Sony we don't own it lol

  • @Snestastic yea i def agree with you there. There is alot more that can go wrong with a hardrive if one disc breaks one game breaks. If u harddrive breaks all your games break.

  • n the thing about updates r Skyrim a complteley single player game and without the update fixes id be playing a less than quality game the updates fix glitches and problem that ruin ur game experience we as consle gamers were behind computers in that fact well not n e more. Im expressing my opinion im a fan and i love ur channel just expressing another view

  • @gearsofwill9 lol no probs thanks dude I appreciate your comments, I like to hear all sides of a discussion :) I would argue they should have made Skyrim work before selling it so that people don't have to suffer the bugs and wait for numerous patches though.

  • I completley agree with you in the fact that i focus more on single player but truley there is alot of rare digital downloads that you will never see n e where else another example Crysis 1 for 360 simply amazing or Resident evil 4 hd and code veronica hd

  • @gearsofwill9 Thanks dude, lol well tbh I can live without HD upgrades of resi 4 and crysis so it doesn't bother me too much.

  • the thing is man there is alot of rare digital downloads that you will not find any where else with out the arcade i would not be enjoying castlevania sotn hd and once it is on ur hardrive no one can take it back even if xbl went out of business u would still have your downloads.

  • @gearsofwill9 Trye but if your hard drive corrupted and the downloads are no longer available cause say microsoft are no longer in the console business you lose the game. I'd much rather they give us the option and put those games as a compilation on a disc as well :)

  • I take it you won't be buying Ridge Racer for the Vita? 3 tracks 5 cars lol what a joke...

  • @Okuplok90 lol as it happens I have cancelled my order for a Vita. Reason being the launch line-up is terrible and can't pay all that money just to play a new Uncharted lol, I'd rather put the money towards a wii u :)

  • dont get me wrong i agree with most of what ur saying but i cant completely hate dlc because of games like little big planet the costumes the level kits it just keeps the game going and going and lbp is another reason y i love online gaming.

  • @ClassicSpinDash That's ok dude lol Yeah I can see how it can elongate a game such as LBP but for me i've never seen the appeal of DLC for costumes etc. Maybe i'm just old school and for me I just care about a good single player experience and i'm so fussed about all the little extras.

  • @Snestastic i'll tell you 1 problem ive got with multiplayer and its trophies, i had 100% uncharted 1 then i got uncharted 2 100% then some stupid patch comes out forcing us to play multiplayer for trophies that really pissed me off if uncharted 3 does this i'll throw it thru my window...ok thats a lie i cud never do that to uncharted lol whats ur opinion on trophies anyway?

  • I agree, I don't care about online gaming at all. That's why I don't own a PS3 or a 360. The last game I actually played online was Day of Defeat(a half life WWII mod) and I really loved playing it but that's been a few years ago now and it was on PC, I can't play fps games with dual analog sticks and I probably never will. I absolutely love Nintendo because they're very modest in their approach to gaming and it feels like it still has some of that magic that gaming used to have.

  • @SMAAAASHTV I'm the opposite dude I can't play FPS with mouse and keyboard, I find it too twitchy and I'm terrible at them lol. Yeah your right about Nintendo, I think if anything they are consistent. Also you can rely on their 1st party titles either being amazing or just great, they are never terrible.

  • @SMAAAASHTV

I am also useless with twin analog sticks for fps i have almost mastered walking around but aiming often screws me up .I am fine with keyboard and mouse playing battlefield 3 on the ps3 at the moment but will be glad when i have it on the pc i might be able to get more than 10 kills a game ..

  • I remember when console owners gloated about how PC games took ages to install whilst with Console it was just put in the disc and play. How times have changed ! Resistance 3 took a lot longer to install than ANY PC game I've played !

  • @dark1ankh lol so true dude, MS & Sony have screwed the gaming industry a little.

  • @dark1ankh never had this problem but i hear it alot with the ps3 downloads unlesss it is an internet problem idk ive never had a patch that took longer than 2 mins tops

  • id have to say my favourite is uncharted 2 only because i thought that the end of uncharted 3 was a slight let down and that the main villians didnt really seem much of a threat

  • @ToejamandEarl1983 I'd agree dude, I think the story in Uncharted 2 really resonated with me a lot more than in no.3. The only thing that let down no.2 for me was that bloody boss battle at the end, I hated that lol

  • I am curious if the big companies really will ever go down the route of full digital and if it is really in there own best interests, it would make the gaming economy and audience very one sided and contracted i think, I often sell old games on ebay to fund new purchases, Zelda and Xenoblade were both bought new on the back of used game sales. I DO NOT approve of Game etc ripping off kids and selling used games a pound less than new however, but on ebay its a fair price for buyer and seller

  • @f16madlion I agree dude, I don't like how GAME think they can charge so much for 2nd hand games. I remember seeing Uncharted 2 not long after release in GAME 2nd hand for £40 and brand new £45 and I just thought your taking the piss lol. Yep with more thought I do wonder if they will go all digital when they can do what the music industry have done. It hasn't seemed to hurt them releases an album on digital and physical media.

  • @Snestastic I had a simular experience with Game when I was going to trade in Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time. They were selling it for £44.99 new or £42.99 Pre owned. They offered me £14 trade, the higher value as there cash price was £10. I laughed and walk away.

  • I think it's disgusting that gamers no longer own the rights to the content that they are paying for and i find the fact that games are being released unfinished and in need of updating even worse. This generation is the last time i will be bothering with modern machines.IMO Microsoft,Sony and Nintendo are just as bad as each other and this situation is only going to become worse in the future.

Mark my words Apple are sitting on the wayside watching and waiting for the perfect time to strike :)

  • @darrenwalshsock Yeah almost completely agree with you there, there is a ton of games i wont touch, dumbed down unfinished pieces of crap with content actually removed out to sell at a premium, you cant ever sell back when your finished with it. I bought some fairly pricey games on steam I just don't play,if they were physical media they would be right on ebay and going into someones collection with money in my pocket also. Never again will I buy digital game content, with one exception being GT5

  • @f16madlion The reason GT5 is because Sony forced a team of extreme perfectionists to release the game early and unfinished the extra content and patches are really needed and made AFTER development not as a little side scam, also feels like a "platform" game that's added to over a long time instead of cranking out 40 quid sequels each year.

  • @darrenwalshsock I don't know if I would put Nintendo in the same bracket myself Darren. They have made some mis steps since the 3DS launch for sure but I have never felt like they are just whoring the industry like MS & Sony have done.

  • @Snestastic I guess your right about them not whoring out to quite the same level, but from what i have read some users of the virtual console may feel differently about the whole content ownership debate. One things for certain this generation has been a test bed for the future of gaming.IMO on paper we have already accepted digital distribution and receiving broken games upon launch. So whilst sales of games continues to out gross the movie industry the problem isn't going to go away :)

  • @darrenwalshsock I don't know if I would put Nintendo in the same bracket myself Darren. They have made some mis steps since the 3DS launch for sure but I have never felt like they are just whoring the industry like MS & Sony have done.

  • @darrenwalshsock I don't know if I would put Nintendo in the same bracket myself Darren. They have made some mis steps since the 3DS launch for sure but I have never felt like they are just whoring the industry like MS & Sony have done.

  • I could not agree more about the ps3 updates, i dont use the ps3 very often because i know every time i turn it on i have to download a system update before i can even get into the store. Why it has to be updated every 5 minutes is beyond me.

  • @Colonelbasic Too true dude, it's like when you think ahh I'll play Heavenly Sword, very old game now, and you put it in to fill half hour but no you have to update 1st and then before you know it the half hour has gone by and you have no time to play. So frustrating.

  • For me the thing with current gen thats putting me off is that to many companies are using games as avenues to make more money in different ways. Not all companies are like this though thankfully, Sega with Sonic Generations is a good example of a company putting their all into giving gamers the core gaming experience.

I think as time goes on, retro games are becoming more relevent than ever for me at least, and i'm prefering the singleplayer experience more. You made some great points dude.

  • @Retrosofer Thanks Dude :0 I was thinking about it last night and when you look at the 80's and 90's and we had Sega & Nintendo and despite both companies being very corporate and trying to make a profit they never felt that way. With Sony & MS they are very much profit driven and don't appear to care about the gamers. Ninty & Sega whether it's honest or fake is hard to say but I have always felt like in some small way they do care.

  • I agree all the way. Personally I hate DLC to unlock something that's already on the disc. That is just a blatant rip off. And the Dreamcast still has games being released for it! There's a company in Germany that publishes some tidy shmups! I'd like to see more new old-skool games tho!

  • @EndlessArcadia I agree that does seem really weird to think they can make you download something which is already on the disc. That's really cool but would be even better if Sega started to produce DC games again :)

  • Great points about buying multiplayer when you want single player, multiplayer could be great but unless its your mates its a recipe for disaster! I do still play online but I teally do carefully choose what I do and if I get abused I'll give up! Totally agree with what your said about Nintendo, if they stay old school to their heart, then I am on board! Great video Pete!

  • @lawnboyspost1975 Thanks Dave, yeah I think despite all the criticism that Ninty get for being unable to get to grips with 21st century gaming it will definitely be a good thing going forward for us the gamer.

  • To correct you on a few of things:

You aren't limited to how often you can download something you've bought from PSN. The number limit is the amount of consoles and / or handhelds the download can be activated on at the same time on your account.

Patches take longer on Xbox 360 compared to PS3 is because Microsoft have up to 10MB limit on patch size where Sony has no limit.

Forced installs on PS3 are down to the 2 speed BD Drive in the PS3 and lazy developers.

  • @ironbru1986 really had no idea they picked such a slow drive no wonder they make you sit through a install in games like uncharted, mg4 and heavy rain. However in games that ported so clearly from the 360 versions which must in theory be smaller on the disk do you still have to go through lengthy installs just a thought

  • @MadDingo800 The reason (IMO) installs on PS3 are used though is because most develpers don't want to take the time to program for the PS3 correctly, so they take the lazy option. Have you noticed most games with an install are Capcom and Ubisoft games? How can games like uncharted, God of war 3 etc not require installs yet games like the entire Assassin's Creed series and pretty much all Capcom games do? The have better graphics which is were most of the loading will come from.

  • @ironbru1986 Fair enough, had no idea bout the patch sizes, that does make you question Sony's logic. Ahhh right didn't know about the BD drive being a factor behind mandatory downloads, it's something they should definitely find a workaround for.

  • I agree with you about DLC and online gaming. Most DLC is complete crap (capcom are the worst for this) and online is fun of kids swearing and been abusive. I am also mainly a single player gamer and think this gen is the worst gen for 25 - 30 years. All developers are bothered about is getting as much money for the least effort. Activision, Capcom, EA and Ubisoft are examples of that. I blame Microsoft for all the DLC and online crap, it wasn't as bad as this on consoles before they came along.

  • One of the worst things to happen to consoles was the hard drive the older consoles without them had to have the games perfect due to having no way of updating .I do like online multiplayer but it is something to do after completing the main game .Call of duty 2 campaign was superb and quite long something that makes these games good to play .Something i do find more disturbing are all the firmware updates for consoles it would only take one power cut and you end up with a dead console .

  • @paulb4uk That's a good point Paul, while the hard drive has made it easier for game saves and the ability to install the game fully it has allowed publishers to take the piss. I think a lot of firmwares updates could be done without as well. Sony like to update things for no reason, such as the stupid epilepsy warning we now have when firing up the beast, that really pisses me off lol

  • all the console companys should all join together n make 1 main console together so we dont need to buy loads of different consoles to play certain games.. so this one console the companys can all make the same profit if not more. more often than not a game is released on all 3 consoles anyway i would like the exclusives to be for all too.

  • @misterneckbreaker88 I see your point dude but I think it would be a cold day in hell when Sony & MS join forces tbh. If I'm honest though as a gamer and tech obsessive I like to have multiple consoles even it takes a few years to buy them all.

  • im same as u i dont rele bother with multiplayer i like single player/campaigns dlc i buy if its extra levels like sonic unleashed.i dont buy new releases i get last years because they all end up cheap after few weeks. months, only buy full price if its something i know 90% gonna enjoy it.

  • @misterneckbreaker88 I'd agree with that dude, Uncharted I buy at full price because they take a while to drop but mostly because I don't want to wait. I love these games too much and need to know what happens next.

  • Agreed on all points dude, well said. It is a shame that online multiplayer never really gets it right. It's always funner to hop onto a local multiplayer game with a friend, which is something the Wii is really catering to. PS3/360 doesn't get that!

  • @CC10Gaming Also GD-ROMs are certainly viable to make again. Would be really interesting to see how rebooting older consoles with fresh games would go!

  • @CC10Gaming It will probably never happen but it would be really cool to see just how big the market is. Seeing brand new games on the shelves for the classics systems would be spot on :)

  • @CC10Gaming Thanks Ben :) Yeah Ninty have their faults but they can get some things right. Despite a lot of party games for the wii they really do cater more for traditional multi-player which has always been for me the better option.

  • totally agree with uncharted mate playing through it again myself for the 3rd time. its like if you watch a great movie you'll at some point wanna watch it again

  • @ToejamandEarl1983 It does just grip you doesn't it? I love those games, which one is your fave dude?

  • Gonna have to make a response later! I totally agree though the single player game should be core.

  • @ninjabearhug Thanks Stew, nice one, I look forward to watching your response dude :)

  • Hi pete.

Just like bluetonic your spot on, i agree with everything you said, it's all a bit of a joke really.

    Long live retro gaming !!!

    Dal.

  • @SCRATCHMASTERDAL Cheers Dal, couldn't agree more, modern gaming single player can be amazing but retro is still king :)

  • Also, check out gamestation, their selling saints row 3 for £20!! Like seriously.

  • @DAMI3N2011 Thanks dude, can't quite believe how quickly it has dropped.

  • I still play my PS1 and PS2 much more than my XBox 360 and PS3. Current gen gaming doesnt really intrest me, its like its all about the graphics and online rather than the gameplay these days.

  • @GAMEBOY379 True online is very much shoehorned into a ton of games. I think graphics your right a lot of current gen games are all about the graphics. However there are the odd exception such as uncharted and heavy rain which have fantastic stories, great characters and they just suck you in.

  • I totally agree with you Pete on most levels especially with online passes. When you come to think of it, you buy the game. You pay for xbox live. Then if you bought the game pre-owned they charge you extra because you don't have an online pass. Money made... that's all I can say.

  • @DAMI3N2011 Yep it's not on at all. I'm really glad that single player is the part that I care the most about tbh dude. If I was hardcore into multi-player I'd be so pissed off at all the different costs involved.

  • @SeanSidious Thanks Sean, agreed dude the single player should be the core experience. Once you have finished the story you can then go online and play with friends. At least that's the theory anyway lol

  • @SecludedBubbles You make a good point there dude, i'm sure the other publishers put pressure on devs as well. I'm sure seeing Activision succeeding so much with the COD franchise that they wanna jump on the wagon. It's a shame as we the gamers are the one's who are left disappointed.

  • PS I had Fallout New Vegas (360) for about 3-4 weeks before I could play it because of bugs and constant updates - that really is the worst example of a lax release. Capcom take the piss with DLC as well nowadays, they've got greedy.

  • @andy7666 That's really really bad dude, there is no excuse for it either. I'm sure the fans despite moaning wouldn't mind waiting a month or two more if it meant the game worked perfectly?

  • As for retro games but new ones made by Sega (for example) then yeah, limited quantities would be the way to go just to test the water but i'd love to see it. Initially I thought it might be a bad idea to re-release old games as it might damage the used market but then perhaps that would bring some of the prices down so we could all get the games we want at affordable prices for our collections.

    I don't know....touchy subject with people I guess - particularly ebay sellers/businesses lol :)

  • Brilliant response Pete, enjoyed that :) When I analyze it I only really play FPS's on XBL/PSN whereas all other genres i'm perfectly happy to play in single player/campaign mode.

It's been a gradual thing with me over the last year or 2 when it comes to XBL/PSN....i've just felt it was bubbling up to the point where i'd get bored with it. Never say never for me getting the PS4 but i'm gonna sit back and watch just to see what it's all about first :)

  • @bluetonic78 Thanks Alex, glad you enjoyed it mate :) lol well yeah never say never as I'm sure you'll appear on camera holding a PS4 and possible even a 720 at some point :)

  • Multiplayer should be an add-on.. Some games are great for that sort of thing (COD/MW, Streetfighter etc.) but I hate it when games rely too much on it - I was gutted when Lost Planet 2 went 100% multiplayer, the first game had a great single player campaign as well as online.. DLC are a ripoff generally unless really game changing and developed post release IMO. I've had plenty in the past, my 360 died & I lost them (e.g. Mushihime Futari - gutted), others I have to be online to access.

  • @andy7666 I agree Andy, some games have a forced single player campaign or have a tacked on multi-player. I hate that games have to have both especially if a game is obviously better as a single player or multi-player experience. You don't need to shoe horn in the other gameplay element imo.

  • I was going to do a video response, but you've pretty much echoed my thoughts about modern gaming.

    Cheers Pete

  • @MrMattGaming Thanks Matt :)

  • Dreamcast games are too easily ripped to cd and its very easy to find the isos cartridges are too expensive to produce would love stores to sell brand new games however they would not do it as simply because retro gaming and love for these great old machines and i hate this word is niche market

  • @MadDingo800 I think your probably right Rob, it's a real shame as it would be great to be able to get even more life from the existing systems.

  • for me Nintendo biggest problem is third party support they tend to ignore them there first party games are great but there support for third parties is terrible if you encouter bugs its normally in third party shovel ware.

  • @MadDingo800 True, they do need to get better grip on the third party support. Nintendo have a lot of faults especially in the last 12 months but I always hold hope they can fix everything lol

  • wow had no idea Sony limited the number of times you can download a game, ms will allow you to transfer all content once a year to your chosen console, at least ms updates take seconds Metal gear takes nearly 30 mins to update

  • @MadDingo800 Yep it's a really stupid idea to limit the amount of times you can download the game once you have paid for it. It was because people were sharing the games for free with friends and family that they cut down the amount of times.

  • @Snestastic think that goes back to the fact that we no longer own the media EA were the first to change the EULA to say that you licence the game and that you do not own it which is annoying

  • I'm coming from the same perspective as yourself Pete, online or multiplayer just doesn't enter into the equation for me, and I'm beginning to resent how some games are now designed around the experience first and foremost and the campaign is an add on. Remember when it was the other way around?

Things like costumes and weapons are so that people can be made to feel like an individual, like having a ringtone that no one else has got, for all of 5mins.

  • @LeBossu77 Agreed Owen, if a game works better in single player don't tack on the multi-player and if a game works better as a multi-player experience then don't tack on a single player campaignn. You would think it was obvious wouldn't you? lol. I suppose your right but I never get it lol it's like the 360 avatar? WTF is the point of that thing? And they sell you costumes, i'm sorry but that's taking the piss lol

  • the one feature i just WISH they would add to xbox live is the option to play only with people of your own age range. or basically, do exclude 16 and under from the people who it matches you up with. there should be two entirely different lobbies imo. one for 12yr olds who still think its funny to randomly shout swear words, and one for people who can string a sentence together.

  • @shenmueso Amen to that Ben, it would make it a much better experience. However I have found that even though I choose casual for online I still get connected to pro's who destroy me. That then takes out the fun of any game I play.

  • One more thing to add on your last point. I love that idea of releasing new games for old consoles. I think someone like Sega Should start Small. Make an anniversary Sega genesis system make them limited around 20k and make a few new games like Streets of Rage 4, Revenge of shinobi 4, Sonic 4, Golden Axe 4. Etc and See how they sell. They could make a small profit, do something for their fans and collectors and show they are still making good games.

  • @tb46667 I think that would be a great idea Tom, it's all down to money at the end of the day. If they could produce the system cheaply enough then it would be brilliant. Makes you wonder why no market research has been carried out. They only have to look on the net in general and on YouTube to see how many customers they could have.

  • Its funny that older gamers like you and I think exactly the same. I couldnt agree with you any more than I do. You hit every point on this video

  • @tb46667 Thanks Tom :)

  • Wise words Pete....

    Gr8 vid

    Cheers

    Michael.....

  • @MrMcoleman28 Cheers Michael :)

  • the problem with the dreamcast is that its easy to copy the games at it loads a game from a cd drive. they did release megaman 10 for nes in extremely limited quantities and halo 2600 is still around!

  • @emojo1990 Major difference with the two you've mentioned is that they are homebrew - i'm talking official games released just as they were all those years ago.

  • @emojo1990 True but it's down to the individual to not copy the games. PS3 and 360 games can be copied but they don't stop selling games.

  • i cant remember the last modern game i bought but i do know that i play them more than my retro. i mean, i put in low g man or yoshis island and its fun for about 30 mins but then it just get to the point where i feel like i could have just as much fun playing halo zombies or super meat boy. i like collecting the retro but i think modern games are better for gaming :)

  • @emojo1990 Maybe and don't take this the wrong way lol, maybe it's because you didn't grow up with the systems and are only now trying them out that you don't feel as attached to the old style of games? Therefore you don't feel the need to play for hours?

  • @Snestastic yeah i know what u mean, i did grow up with snes and a bit of abes odysee on ps1 and they are quite nostalgic but its not enough to hold me over for very long.

  • Great points Pete, I dont online game full stop, never have done so its all about the single player or 2 player "in the same room" for me.

I'd love to see new games for the old systems, ok its a dream & will probably never happen,I really dont think there are enough people like us who would buy them to make it profitable, not the huge type of profits big companies have to make to keep shareholders happy, but lets live in hope :)

btw Saints row 3 is £19.99 in Gamestation!

  • @craigsheree Thanks Craig, i'm with you mate, people in a room is proper multi-player. Especially now we are older, a group of lads, beer and old consoles total win lol. £20? That's just crazy lol, I can not understand the drastic price cuts.

  • Great video pete. The updates are nothing but annoying as hell both on the XBOX 360 and the PS3. I am also sick of games not being finished and then needed to be patched on Day 1. DLC is nothing but lame usually. I wouldn't mind seeing brand new games on the older consoles too :)

  • @marioandsonic1986 Thanks Josh, yep the updates have to stop next gen or i'll disconnect the system from the net :)

  • By the time the Wii u is out the xbox 720 and ps4 will be announced and nintendo will be left in the dark again probably

  • @MrDjdecks Maybe, it's hard to say at this point, we'll have to wait untill June and see what Nintendo are bringing to the table with the Wii-U. With the PS4 & 720 we know what to expect where as that controller for the wii-u could change everything if used in new and interesting ways.

  • Re-spawning monsters isn't anything new to be fair. Alien Breed on Amiga was notorious for that.

  • @dark1ankh True I just find it frustrating in gaming in general but older games never seemed to annoy me as much as current gen games can.

  • im a retro fan but the current gen is the greatest gaming we have ever had...ive been gaming since the late 70s ..now is the best time..and multiplayer is the best...as long as its with mates..so ill back you up there pete

  • @brewt1mer Cheers dude, I love current gen when it's done right but there are so many games that have been mishandled. But then there are games like Medal Of Honor which is buggy as hell but I love it. It's been a very interesting generation so far i think.

  • you played skyrim yet pete?

  • @IDMWEIGHTSIDM Afraid not dude, it will be a miracle if I can ever be converted to those type of games tbh dude. Maybe one day I might give it a try.

  • Have you played Resistance 3 Snestastic ?

  • @dark1ankh I haven't yet dude, it's a game I need to try next year for definite :)
