  • whats the song at 2:01?

  • nice tone--i also mod out guitars--lotta fun .

  • did you say "because of my advanced age" ? lol

    awesome guitar man

    you are a cool fellow

  • Very impressive and expressive instrument. It sounds wonderful on "Only the Young" and "Sukiyaki." I'd love to hear you play an original instrumental with it.

  • Sergio - brilliant!!! Such a good idea. Sounds great.

  • This is fuckign awesome

  • Nice job on the Teiscocaster, enjoyed your playing. It's funny that that guitar still sounds like a Telecaster with completely different hardware. I put a set of those pickups into a '60's American Harmony solidbody and they're great. Planning to wax-pot them so they're not so microphonic, and I grounded the covers. The output on mine isn't too terribly low, about like the stock Mexican Fender pickups. Very satisfied with the sound, especially through an old tube Ampeg.

  • @dannosaur1

I would love to see a video of your guitar

  • Love the sound! Real cool.

  • YEH WALK DON RUN!!

  • Love those tones! But the pickguard color is...ughh!

  • Great tone

  • Wow!you did it.

I've been wanting to switch to a Tele, possibly a Strat, but with a Teisco-type tremolo.

I tried an old Teisco and LOVE that tremolo,it's simple but it feels more natural than a Bigsby or a Strat tremolo.

    Nice work.

  • Amazing! you have amazing taste!

  • dude you rock!!! you need some nasty celuloid Mother Of Toilet Seat and maybe a competion stripe on there, awesome job building that one

  • Naw man! Tortiseshell!

  • dude, you are a sicko....AND I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!

i have a 1971 Kay K-2T that has the same pickups. it's surprising that your guitar sounds so much like a Telecaster, but when you tapped on the pickups...it sounds just like mine did.

yes, "did". i replaced the stock pickups with DiMarzios (PAF and Dual Sound) back in '78.

    yes...i'm a sicko too.

good job and thanks for sharing.

  • wow, can you repalce pickups on my archtop guitar?

  • I love your guitar, I just received a teisco spectrum guitar for my 40th birthday, and those pickups are very micrphinoc , as are yours, which I really like...I have to replace the tremolo, which is ok since they sell them at guitar fetish, thanks for showing this video! very cool sound

  • Great job, love your guitar

  • Sounds great! good job

  • Pretty nifty.

  • lovely guitar, nice tone!

  • Way cool! Nothin' better than Teisco pickups I say.

  • Is this guitar already sold?

  • If I lived near you and had any talent at guitar I'd feel like making a bid on it.

  • I like that guitar!

  • Sounds Very bright and powerful. I love it!

  • Wow, the guitar is beautiful. Great job!

Dad, you are wonderful and very cool.

  • Yes mr Garcia. I also think you're a cool person.

  • Santiago:

    ¡Gracias por tu opinión!

Ahora mismo estoy haciendo otra "guarda rasguños" color negro. Es muy difícil, pues no se consigue en ningún lado.

Eso de armar una guitarra con piezas de Ebay entretiene muchísimo.

    CIAO

  • Nice guitar. Hope you can enjoy it for YEARS to come! Can you tell me what's typical for the Teisco del Rey pickups?

  • Low output single coil.

Commonly favored by guitar players that like Surf instrumental music.

Also favored by slide guitar players.

  • Aha I see. Thanks for your reaction.

  • Nice Surfcaster!

  • Well I think with a tone like that slide playing it would sound great.

  • great to see you again over here...

    cool custom guitar!!!

hope everybody over there is allright.

    regards from spain

  • Sergio:

    Thanks for posting!

I put the guitar together from parts I bought here and there. It was a lot of fun to put it together.

I think I am going to install a black pick guard. It will look better than red.
