  • I never saw anyone play guitar with a drumstick

    JC2

  • Tis a wicked tune this like

sum1 needs to put forget my name on by nine black alps tht is a wicked tune aswell

  • brilliant!!!

saw them live, they were doing first half for kaiser chiefs, should have been the other way round.

    fantastic band

  • great song

  • dude dont ruin it for me

  • No. Not at all.

  • great great band

  • do like the lead guitarist and bassist swich instruments somtimes cause ive seen both of them playing basses and guitars

  • They're good for a new grunge band but bands like Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and Nirvana are classic! :)

  • this band sounds nothing like nirvana. it has a grunge sound, but thats about all they have in common.

  • So , it DOES sound like nirvana , slightly. *Sigh* People will say anything to argue

  • sound a bit like nirvana

  • Sounds a little like 'Lounge Act' by Nirvana, but these guys are 1000x better!

  • how cool does the start sound ?!?!

  • the start of this tune actually reminds me of sonic youth

  • Awsome song

    Great band ;>

  • lol at min 2.16 hahahaa

  • wisecrack > this band is really under rated hehe

  • i lve this sang and band

p.s at point 1:08 he looks at the camra then at his band m8s walking lol

  • Completely awesome band live.

Saw them on the 6th, they played 22 songs, and went 20 mins over their set time.. Was nackered by the end of the it :x Pit was intenseee

  • -.- why doesn't universal let us embed this song

  • yeah...

    !!!

  • First album really raw loved the energy, second album beach boy california love grunge(they want you to listen to the song)but they still bring the noise but its more calculated/produced. Honestly I thought I liked the first better but I think it worked because I know the words to the second album.

  • i love them wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

    really

    i wish i could meet them =)

  • my brother did. he's got the drummers stick in his room

  • I think NBA sound more like Foo's than Nirvana personally. Especially Foo's first album.

  • Yeah, they sound like te foo's but definately have a bit of nirvana in there, special with tis song, the chours his very simular to the chours of Nirvana-aneurysm

  • nirvana, but is a good band

  • i can see the obvious comparisons with nirvana, but i reckon they're a bit more like post-grunge bands, like the vines or whatever. whatever they are they're quality... if you haven't seen them live i would try, sound so much fuller live, and martin (bass) goes a little bit crazy!

  • whoops i just contradicted myself, didn't I? Point is Nirvana is good, NBA is good, why can't everyone just get along?

  • haha. you did, but your point is still understood

  • That's so dumb. why is comparing them to one of, if not the most influential, grunge bands of all time a bad thing? i think its a fantastic things. NBA is awesome, and they do sound Nirvana-ish which is not a bad thing, it means they probably were influenced by kurt, which is not unusual or bad. No one is comparing NBA to Nirvana, we're just saying that NBA has a good sound much like Nirvana.

  • On their myspace page there is Nirvana in their "Influences-s".

I've written some songs to what sound a bit like Nirvana. But what I can do about it?

My voice is not great, but i feel comfortable when I sing with this cobain-ish tone.

  • get a digital recorder with voice modifiers.

  • Ever were, correction.

  • Nine Black Alps are a lot better than fucking Nirvana, Nirvana did three ok songs, which after listening to twice I want to smack the shit out of my monitor.

Nine Black Alps are 10 steps infront of what Nirvana everwhere.

I've been texting Radio1, to get these guys played, because they deserve to be reconized.

  • this smells like nirvana

  • I went to see them live, they were amazing. Even the older fans were moshing.

  • I really like how they can change their sound so drasticly for different songs.

    Good band.

  • Im effing tired of people comparing any band with a singer who sings with a slight kurtish twang in their voice to Nirvana.

Yes, they are probably inspired by Nirvana.

Like every god damn band who use guitar riffs are inspired by jimi hendrix.

    Big deal.

but my point is, shut the hell up.

you either like the music or you dont.

  • im not dissing the band, but in all of their videos doesnt it seem like the lead singer just stairs at the camera...

  • Yeah totally, i bet when they're in front in front of their mirror at home in their bedroom practising how to be a 'rawk star' they secretly wish they were The late KC from the nirvs, when they're on u tube they are just argumentitive dick heads, this vid is about the 9BA lets stick to the subject in hand,eh? they rock woo hoo

  • when i said 'the overrated Nirvana' i'm quoting the guy below my last comment who claims that Nirvana are overrated & NBA are much better..evryone is entitled to their opinion but why the fk does everyone have to compare nearly every band on here 2 the nirvs straight away? there is only 1 Nivana & i love them they are not overrated & don't understand why people keep fking slagging them off when he was one of music's true genius & his music still souns lush, fresh & new today?

  • Because Nirvana were so successful and popular. Some people didn't like them cause they don't like Punk/grunge/Whatever the hell you wanna call them, other people just like to be contrary dicks. And there are hundreds of other reasons. Take your pick of your favourite.

  • They sound nothing like Nirvana! and for the record, I love both bands.

  • nba are amazing live and on cd! nirvana were amazing too, so shut up. penis

  • To the fucking donkey that claims that these are better then the overrated Nirvana, i'll put it simply, you are a CUNT, & no one gives a fuck about your pointless input & opinion, especially nirvana, they're too busy laughing all the way to the bank with their many millions, unlike you, i'm guessing you're some fat, smelly, nerdy goth(or shitty emo head)who sits & wanks all day, gets it on his sheets but that doesn't matter as he still lives with his mom who does all his washing.

  • Nirvana aren't overrated.

And no, I'm not fat, smelly, nerdy, gothic or emo. But I often wank into my bed sheets.

  • kurt cobain, thank you for this beautiful song

  • Hehehe, yeah

  • Nine Black Alps are keeping grunge alive !

  • MEH

  • To be honest, they don't sound like Nirvana.

  • er to be honest they sound exactly like nirvana - shame cause its skind of a cool little tune ..the lead singer is quite the poser hahahaha

  • i agree. nirvana were shit and overated whereas these guys fukin rock!!!

  • hey, kurts not dead...

  • there from MADCHESTER ..........LOVE SCARBOROUGH xxxx

  • the guitarist threw me his drum stick at endfest

  • this is basically just a 00's version of the nirvanabes

  • this music is from ed, edd n eddy one + one =ed

  • Their new single might help, you instantly get caught by the tune :O

  • Love the bassline in this tune!

  • are they popular in UK?

    (I'm from Russia))

  • Not really. They're pretty small. They're amazing though. They should be a lot bigger. I don't want them to be though.

  • Yeah they are from the UK somewhere up North. They just fall into that strange category of a band that are really good but never make it big. The same goes for another British bad called My vitriol who you should also check out. I don't mind if they remain the same and hope they do.

  • they're from Manchester :)

  • i agree 100%. does seem like a waste of talent tho, they deserve more exposure.

  • i love this manc band...this is them at their best!!

  • Very Good!!

  • It's Pat! Wahay. Figured it our myself.

  • Haha. Yer, Crichton. I'll give you that effort though.

    And who be this?

  • This has to be my fav Nine Black Alps vid.

    Memories of 2005...

  • hey is james crighton?, cuzz i know someone whos a massive nine black alps fan called james
