  • That's messed up i was enjoying this , why did it have to end

  • I love how the Road Warriors didn't sell an opponent's moves like Hawk just looking at Flair while being chopped. lol

  • Does anyone have the ending to this..????

  • How ever did the NWA not take over the WWF with talent like this, wow!! If Vince McMahon had this roster??

  • It was great it was also obvious Ole didn't belong in this type of match.

He just was not talnted enough

  • Oh man, do I miss the contrived, color-by-number gimmicks of old-school wrestling (read: "rasslin' "). Using a chair as a weapon used to be an automatic disqualification: nowadays you could ride a horse into the ring and nobody would care.

  • WWE with all the hoopla and money still can‘t touch this

  • I love the handshake with flair and animal in the begining!

  • In the credits it says Virgil Runnels was the "senior producer".So funny looking back to when I was a kid and there was no internet.

  • three things the hoursemen need to learn when wrestling with the road warriors 1: don't even show up 2: don't even touch them it only gets them angrier 3: don't beg to them that is a sign of disrespect they then will kick your ass

  • Does anyone else notice how hot that crowd is? You can't buy that shit today and they try.

  • It's sad that matches like this were not on the Road Warriors DVD.

  • I remember seeing this on TV one word awesome

  • road warriors best of all time

  • This brings a tear to my eye, it was so good. Just the atmosphere alone made it, let alone the great wrestling

  • This was an exciting time in pro wrestling...

  • Well Mrstonecold stone cold in WWE/F

  • I saw this match when it first aired in 87. To be honest, I turned my whole platoon on to the Road Warriors. They had very little respect for Dusty Rhodes. But loved Nikita Koloff and the Road Warriors. The Legion of Doom were the very raeson I began powerlifting to stay in shape for duty and later in my life. But this was the highlight of the evening for us.

  • now that is a ' POP ' from the crowd or what LOD and the SuperPowers 2 of The Best Tagteams Of The NWA era Midnight Express And The Rock n Roll Express Also Four Horsemen These Teams Can Never Ever Be Mimiced Or Re-Created Ever Again

  • CLASSIC!!!

  • Nikita Koloff and the Legion of Doom together on the same team.... ah that aint EVEN fair lol!

  • These ARE the four horsemen!!!!!!!

  • I remember when this came on TV originally. They had to show it taped the next week because the entrances started at 45 minutes past the hour and by the time everyone had their individual entrances and got their belts off, time was up!

  • OMG ! I remember THIS ! WOW. I almost had a "heart attack" watching this match.

This is CLASSIC NWA stuff !

Hey, "New Breeders" THIS is what REAL Wrestling was about back in the day.

  • Ahem, back to business, I remember seeing this 'live' on TV, and just couldn't beLIEVE they cut away without showing how the match turned out. But now I see obviously that's a way to drive people to go see the touring show. NWA was ten times better than WWF at provoking their fans.

  • This is fucking wrestling!

  • 8 dumb fucks have no clue what real wrestling is lol

  • @Marqui74 You're out of your element, Donnie.

  • @PDXCHawk Explain piss ant?

  • Comment removed

  • @Marqui74 Learn to spell pissant, and I just might.

  • @Marqui74 Ok you probably learned by now. Saying that the Horsemen and L.O.D. have no clue about wrestling is a LOT like saying Muhammad Ali was a terrible boxer, or that Peyton Manning makes terrible throws, or that the Beatles didn't write many good songs.

  • @PDXCHawk U c u stupid motherfucker I wasn't talking about them LOD/DUSTY/MY or the Horsemen I was dissing the ppl who disliked the video mind your own business fag shit

  • @Marqui74 Well at least you do like real wrestling, but you're still an ass-hat. Gee, how COULD I mistake you for talking about the 8-man tag match by your saying '8 dumb fucks'. Get the picture? Use words more gooder,

  • Comment removed

  • this real wrestling other is bullshit

  • This was when bookers actually knew how to make matches, Wrestlers were not actors but shooters, Taking a bump didnt mean you got a salary increase. It was the era I fell in love with the sport of pro wrestling.

  • Just fucking listen how crazy those crowds were! Wrestlers were like rock stars back in the day.

  • REAL WRESTLING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • probably the most legendary eight man tag in history!

  • look at Ole taking those bumps, baby! he may have been a total asshole outside the ring, but he was a great heel.

  • "We're sorry, folks, but we've reached the end of this pre-recorded show where we could have edited out the three jobber matches you sat through and shown this entire match!" Fans today just don't know how spoiled they are by the matches shown on free tv. In the 80's, you could watch hours of WWF/NWA and be lucky get one match on TV that didn't feature at least one no-name jobber.

  • This is one of my favorite matches of all time. I wish I could have seen the whole match. My favorite part is at 6:09 when Nikita screams and makes Flair crap himself.

  • Nothing but Hall of Famers in this matchup

  • this is why some wrestlers just dont get it. they didnt work thru the different regions to get better and learn how to work an arena.

  • Listen noise and the excitement of the crowd - you never see or hear anything like that today. For actual professional wrestling fans, the days of the strong regional organizations were the best. Now its all Vince McMahon homogenized wrestling - he's sucking the life out of what was once great professional wrestling.

  • ROAD WARRIORS BEST EVER......

  • back when wrestling companies were WRESTLING and not entertainment companies

  • Now that's a fucking POP!

  • Sweet memories!

  • The Steiners, The Dudley Boys, even RVD and Sabu all good tag teams, BUT, nobody compared to ANIMAL and HAWK. The Road Warriors will always be THE BEST!!! CHICAGO'S VERY OWN!

  • Just announced.....The Road Warriors to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this weekend.

  • Back when wrestling was great

  • This is the best wrestling ever period. Nothing can match this

  • I will never get tired of watching this match.......

  • HUGE crowd reaction here.

  • This was when we enjoyed wrestling. You look at Miz as the champion and then you have "Dashing Cody Rhodes" , it is not worth watching. The 80's had great music and great wrestling. Today we have neither.

  • 3:10 jeez! this IS old ric flair jumped over the top rope thats a first!

  • Never was a fan of busty rhodes

  • Modern wrestling couldn't get this kind of crowd heat at their biggest PPV main events. The crowds just seem half asleep compared to the old arenas.

  • @Silkie341

That's partially because they don't have the patience to develop the storylines like they did then

  • WHO WON?

  • Popcorn-$2.00

    Program-$1.00

    General admission ticket-$3.00

Watching old school NWA on youtube=PRICELESS

    Watching anything WWE or TNA=WORTHLESS

  • @MrStonecold71 u forgot ROH

  • @MrStonecold71 im 12 but i agree old school is way better than the pussy ass wwe now

  • @MrStonecold71 By far Jim Crockett Promotions had the better talent. This match is/was proof of that. Too bad that this era of wrestling can never be repeated again.

  • @MrStonecold71 u ain't ever lied!

  • all i got to say is EPIC the crowd that night was lucky all them top guys in one ring EPIC

  • The six people who hate this video must be WWE marks.

  • WWE will never touch the NWA!fUCK YOU VINCE!!!

  • Ahhhhh, good memories! Is there any videos talking about the people behind the scenes at wrestling events? I noticed some interesting ones during the credits.

  • Now thats how fans suppose to react not this mark bullshit THIS IS Awesome crap

  • Man I miss the old days of GREAT wrestling!

  • Awwww maaaaan!!! I wish they could have showed the whole match. It was heating up even more.

  • dude...road warriors and nikita koloff...holy crap

  • the warriors hands down will always be the greatest of all time, along with Dusty and Nikita were part of one of wrestlings great feuds. thank you guys for the memories

  • this was my erea...love the old wrestling not the crap you see now...

  • Listen to the crowd...unreal wrestling is dead now days!!

  • Koloff had a great demeanor to him. His moves look so exciting.

  • I loved wrestling back in the days when the wrestlers looked like anybodies dad

  • god bless you man.

  • flai is a trip nwa was awsome

  • Real men. Period.

  • Boy do I remember this match! WWE NOR TNA COMES CLOSE TO THIS KIND OF ACTION. I would not pay to go to a wwe nor tna match. I wouldn't even go for free. Today's wrestling is some hot garbage.

  • So many things about this match that I loved. All the way to the end where Arn is hesitant to enter against Hawk and Dusty is giving him the invitation to come in.

  • nikita koloff in his prime would have whipped goldbergs ass

  • @5Albanyman: The Nikita when he was with Uncle Ivan would have whipped his ass. Nikita got a little soft when he got with Dusty.

  • @SulMonee no question

  • @5Albanyman You can tell how the ladies still don't like Nikita Koloff even as a face and what he has done as a face with Magnum. They still cheer foir the heels in all of Koloffs matches. In every match Nikita Koloff had with Lex Luger in 1987, the crown was mostly behind Lex Luger, and I beleive all the ladies were behind Lex Luger obviously.

  • NOBODY BEATS GOLDBERG!

  • NOBODY BEATS GOLDBERG!

  • I miss the territory days. Truly the golden age of wrestling!!!!

  • Classic Pro Wrestling. Thanks for the upload

  • I remember seeing this on TV when it was broadcast. This was the pinnacle of wrestling. Flair deserved an Academy Award for this performance. If you are a real wrestling fan, you can't help but be entertained by this match, it's got it all.

  • I remember NWA always started at 3:05 pacific on TBS. It was surely different when I saw it on the superstation. I watched anything that was wrestling and never saw NWA / WCW as an alternative to what I was used to watching. Just a different company and more wrestling was always good. I didn't like the "over the top rope" rule tho.

  • Now this is a hot crowd! You could hear a pin drop on Raw main event last week.

  • This trully set the tone for 1987 of which would eventually culminate at WARGAMES at the Omni in Atlanta!! I love this old school stuff!!! Thru the blessing of DVD if you can find and know HOW and WHERE to buy them...the memories live on! Thanks for posting this!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you so much...i have to hold onto memories of these great times. i never saw these matches, but i did remember the rival between those guys.....these are the greatest times of my life and i think you so much for this video sir.....thankyou

  • these days everything was warm fun and simple now wrestler's emtions and storylines are overrated to the extend that wrestling itself is ignored look at the japanese still have pure wrestling

  • i love when flair does his 'coward' act.

  • Wow look how excited that fans are when they start fighting.

  • this is great. Listen to that crowd.

  • greatest tag team in wrestling history, long live the LEGION OF DOOM , tell'em HAWK oh what a ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awww The Glory Days! NWA BABY!

  • luv the good old days but is there any more footage about the great tagteams from them days the rockandroll and midnight express wars what about dick murdock and adrain adonis against barry windham and mike rotundo let me know

  • NWA = AWESOME

    WWE = JOKE

    TNA = OK

Bring the NWA back to television

  • The NWA was just as fake as the WWF,its just the NWA fans where to DUMB to get it.The NWA was terrible compared to the WWF thats why it changed its name to WCW and nicked alot of WWF wrestlers in a desperate way to compete just like the awful TNA is trying to do now with the WWE.

  • @pwmxxx too bad the company with the better wrestlers wasn't the most successful. the wwf had "superheroes" who catered to KIDS. McMahon was very smart for that. but nwa's wrestlers were way better. plus, don't forget, ric flair and dusty rhodes went to wwf. so they did the same thing.

  • @pwmxxx Your dumb as shit. NWA and WCW was the BEST EVER. WWE sucks ass. TNA is by far the best we have right now its 100x better then WWE is atm.

  • This is When Pro Wrestling was considered to be a REAL SPORT...NOT SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT!!!

  • simply the BEST 3 letters in real pro-wrestling N.W.A 4EVER.thanx 4 showin.

  • this match led to the first War Games match truely a great match thank you all

  • what a team-the russian nightmare the american dream and the legion of doom

  • I named my Russian Trophy Boar Nikita Koloff and made a 4 min video of Nikita vs Magnum TA/Dusty Rhodes/Flair promos and hog attacks mixed together. Click my username. If I kill another Russian Trophy Boar i will name him Ivan Koloff, get the taxidermist to mount him and make another video.

Nikita Koloff - 200lb Russian Trophy Boar and Wrestler - The Russian Nightmare Tag Team

and... I bought some Jim Ross bbq sauce (original) to eat my Nikita Koloff with.

  • And when the TV shows did come on, you were there from the very beginning because there might have been a title change, injury or heaven forbid a turn that occured at one of the house shows that proceeding week that the announcer needed to tell you about.

Wrestlemania was yesterday and we could all read it online as it happened. I remember the early days of Starrcade, we waited 10 FULL days to find out what happened. If you didn't like it, you got in you car and bought that ticket!

  • Secondly was the subtle psychology of it all. Back then, TV was up but so was house show business. How you ask? If you wanted to see get matches like this uncut to a finish. BUY A TICKET and take a seat at your local arena. We aren't giving away main event matches for free. These weren't on cable they were on your local stations before the days of infomercials.

  • Comment removed

  • pfffft, if I was watching this match on TV i would have been SO pissed! How are they gonna cut it off right when it's getting GREAT!!??? (these were really the Golden Days of wrestling).

  • @ylwapple45 You would buy tickets and go see the NWA when they came to town. Every show I went to was worth every penny.

  • Sheamus = JOKE

    WWE = TURN THE CHANNEL

    NWA = LEGENDARY!

  • @SulMonee Yea the only thing that comes close to this was when the WWE had the Rock and Stone Cold in their prime, But Vince found a way to screw that up too!! Vince gets his rocks off on screwing up what the fans love. Fucking Idiot

  • @Tupacexpert Vince knows that TNA probably won't be able to touch him. That basically allows him to do what he wants. As long as he appeals to the kids then he'll still be profitable. Damn the true wrestling fan who misses wrestling like the NWA and UWF brought it back in the 80's. For that alone, Vince can blow a fat one!!

  • @SulMonee UWF was great as well. UWF was the only promotion that came close to JCP

  • @gannable UWF might have been on the same level. That angle Watts had with him getting buried under the Russian flag was CLASSIC! Both promotions were awesome. Ran by bookers who knew how to make talent draw money.

  • @SulMonee You said it. WWF was more geared towards kids!

  • What a shambles: advertisement breaks in the middle of the match, a match left in progress because air time has run out. Such great talent such as the original Four Horsemen and the Road Warriors was misused by Crockett. Crockett is a croc and wasted what he had.

  • Wrestling today is just a bunch of foolish junk and TNA is turning into a rest home for old wrestlers who got to knocking on 60, I miss the ol days of great quality matches.

  • Awesome

  • The product has to be good in order to get a pop like this. WWE wouldn't know what this kind of pop feels like because their product is AWFUL! Can never make it through a full episode of RAW. It just SUCKS!! Thank goodness for youtube and the clips of the 80's. NWA was the truth!!

  • who you telling....RAW is awful and can't even touch the NWA (or wrestling in general) of the '80's....when this match took place it was about passion and putting on the best show possible...that pop was ridiculous and i was screaming just as loud as a little kid watching at home

  • Yeah...I feel you there. Kinda hard not to get excited at wrestling like this. The 80's (Especially in the NWA) was the Golden Era of wrestling so far in my lifetime. Vince could NEVER get it poppin like this again.

  • @SulMonee Except it's bigger now than it's ever been for Vince.

  • Some of the greatest wrestling E-V-E-R!

  • All we have today is the likes of shemus, triple h and batista. These 3 are an insult compared to the wrestling of the Warriors and Nakita. I thought as time went on it was suppose to get better but it has got worse a lot worse!!! If there is nothing better than shemus and triple h I will stick to oprah

  • WOW this match is before Luger came in. THis is probably 86. I liked the original version of the Horsemen better than all the others. They looked like a bunch of racist redneck potbellied old men. the kind of guys who have eye-holes in their bed sheets. that was scary to me. when Luger came in he just didn't fit in. he was too buff and too pretty to me. I couldn't see Luger hanging out with the other guys whereas you fully expect the orignial Horsemen to be drinking buddies

  • you know, that was really well put, it kinda made you hate the horsemen, they sold it really well. I for one really miss the old wrestling when the biggest argument was if it was real or not.

  • does ANYONE have the conclusion to this match....this is when wrestling was wrestling. the greatest tag team the legion of doom, the russian nightmare and the american dream vs the greatest group of men that we all hated but respected the 4 horsemen...the minnesota wrecking crew, tully, and ric flair

  • you said it! this is wrestling at it's best...putting on a great show for us...the fans.

i have nothing but the utmost respect for these guys...they paid their dues and paved the way for the "superstars" today.

i don't watch it as much as i use to...but i'd watch these guys any day of the week!

  • WWE could only wish their crowds would pop like this one does

  • I asked the same question a few months ago and someone who claimed to have been there said it was a schmaz. I think this should be required viewing for anyone who wants to get involved in the business.

    It doesn.t get much better.

  • fuck four donkey-men

  • i remember seeing this on tv as fun now as then but damn them they cut off the big matches like this back then

  • This was the no! shit years

  • Awesome entrance by the good guys! Classic showdown!

  • I Remember watching this match i wass there

  • Flair and Ole impress me most here. Their selling is brilliant, especially when Flair stands up and finds himself in the wrong corner.

  • Excellent point. It's all about the show...and no body can sell it like theses guys.

  • Man I was so pissed when they cut away from this. Young wrestlers should all watch this match and see how it should be done. No one works this fast anymore.

  • man the golden age of wrestling. Gotta love nostalgia

  • Listen to the crowd participation with the "ooh" sound when the horsemen are hit. Awesome shit!

  • is the conclusion to this match anywhere? anyone know who won? the crowd was hot from the beginning. this match was very intriguing. i don't feel like this for any of the current wrestling on t.v. in my opinion, the story lines, characters are mostly weak today. i could watch these matches from the 80's anytime.

  • AWESOME!!!

  • I so did not think of wrasslin' on youtube! My God I'm in heaven. Love the old school wrasslin'. JYD, Mr.Wrestling II, The Iron Sheik, Bob Backlund. Awesome. Now to go find some Von Erics in Texas wrasslin' and some Jerry "The King" Lawler on Memphis wrasslin'.

  • screw the storylines, it was all about putting together an ideal good guy, and his ideal foil. if your wrestlers are worth their paychecks, THEY tell the story.

  • These were the glory days of Wrestling! Because the story lines ruled! You hated the bad guys and loved the good guys!

  • Man, I feel the same excitement as I did years ago watching this. What is the word they used to use all the time? Pandemonium? That is what what I feel. This brings tears to my eyes with laughter, I love this so much! I used to get so pissed off when Tony would say, "FANS WE'RE OUTTA TIME!" While the match was still going on. This is truly classic.

  • They knew how to keep you hooked without completely pissing you off!...lol

  • Greatest era in wrestling ever!

  • the ring psychology of this match was off the hook! Horsemen played the heels to perfection! Nobody cowers like Flair

  • Such a classic period of time for wrestling!

  • the NWA at the highest peak. 1986-1989

    love it

  • there's still a lot of matches that's not included in the ROAD WARRIOR DVD this match is one of them. they should've put them all out on dvd specially the barbwire match with powers of pain

  • the pop from the crowds during the nwa during the 80s was so awesome when wrestlers looked like wrestlers and heat the horesman got was crazy

  • agree...there's none like it . the 80s the best

  • This is why all those asses are here today, because of the likes of Dusty,Flair Road warriors....The chumps they got now, couldnt hold there jock straps....

  • Probably the best worked match I've seen up to the point of the cutoff. Too bad we don't have footage of the rest of it. I loved that fued.

  • Im 35 and grew up watching this. The build up and the story lines were classic. No one could hype a rivalry like the NWA

  • Anyone know the venue here? Kinda looks like the Charleston Civic Center in WV, where I saw many shows as a kid.

  • Charlotte Coliseum I believe...

  • Dosent get any better than this.

  • GOOSEBUMPS. What quad in wrestling today could flex w/ Dusty, Nikita, and the Road Warriors?! This was there era when people used to get beat up and come to the ring in casts, neck braces, and crutches! I miss this style of wrestling. Less of a production and MORE of an ASS whoopin!

  • This was a DAMN good video. I remember watching Worldwide Wrestling every saturday morning; Ch. 60 in Chicago. I use to always get frustrated when they had to go off the air while the match was in progress. The N.W.A was badass!! No question!!

  • Me too! Good old channel 60 also had Mid-South/UWF on Sunday mornings I believe. God I miss the opening theme of NWA World Wide every Saturday night.

  • That opening was killer!

  • I loved how Flair started chopping Hawk @ 3:06 and then just calmly went out of the ring lol..Classic Flair..this was the shit back in the 80s
