  • Interesting to see a Macy's elevator with dual doors.

  • This elevator dates back to 1982. (I remember when the mall first opened.) Those fixtures are a little different from the ones that you are thinking of from 60's & 70's, and OTIS used these periodically until around 1990ish.

  • 1986 Model.

I bet this is The Service Elevator for the Store.

  • This is for service as well as public use. Floors 1 & 2 are public, 1R & 2R are staff only.

  • 1. They have a surveillance camera right above the panel.

    2. I have a video of that elevator.

  • All roads lead to Marketplace Mall!

  • was that traction or hydraulic?

  • Those are not custom-made. I was stupid in the earlier video. Those ones are typical of Otis elevators from the 60's and 70's, but it was truly rare to see them in the Lenox building elevator, which was built in 1988.

  • Floors 1R and 2R are both storage closets.

  • Can you post a video of the elevator at your hotel? And yes I live not far from that mall.

  • That seems pretty old, maybe 60's.

  • i like those old ones as long as they are maintained well

  • So do I.

  • I have been on an Otis elevator from 1988 with those same buttons.

  • Amazing!

  • Nvm when I said "custom fixtures in the video"

  • As long as they're not death traps!

  • yeah the old ones are very nice they are better than the newer ones thats why I like these old malls and stuff because the elevators are old

  • And the elevators are also well maintained.
