I think this movie was referenced in 'Trancers'. There's a part where a kid is sitting on a mall santa and he asks for "John Doe the Mandroid." But wait...that would create a time paradox seeing as how 'Trancers' came out a year before 'Eliminators'. There was an '80s animated movie I saw in the '90s (which was reminiscent of 'Heavy Metal'), can't remember the title, that had mandroids (as well as androids) and a sword with an invisible blade.

@IggyHazard I believe the animated film you are talking about is called Starchaser: The Legend of Orin. A quality animated movie from 1985. The entire movie is on youtube to watch,just do a search for the title with pt 1 on the end of it.Watched it here recently myself after not being able to remember the name of it for years and years.Those mandroid bastards in it freaked me out when i was a kid,the bad guy was still as much of a badass pimp as i remembered.Robot ass and Han Solo guy ftw.
